Classic has some of the nicest people, but there are some bad eggs just like anywhere. The community will love to convert you from retail to classic!
Each server has different population ratios. Ask around on the classic forums about alliance or horde dominant servers and people might know.
I play on Faerlina as alliance, even though it has more horde. It’s a big server and no matter which faction you choose there’s a lot of people.
I also play on Skeram which is 99% horde. There are also 99% alliance servers out there. I think Faerlina and Netherwind are some of the more balanced servers.
Yeah, but after a bunch of research yesterday pretty sure it won’t work with my playstyle. I’m way to casual.
Though I don’t mind reaching out to other players all the guilds I saw were looking for people with a certain class, spec, on at specific times, or high end content bruisers. Lol Not for me.
The game could be enjoyable for casual players. There’s guilds for all player types. Hardcore guilds and casual guilds. RP guild etc.
I find classic guilds to be much more fun than retail guilds. Members engage with each other more.
Didn’t see any on that list listed.
You sure about that? I mail myself stuff all the time…
If nobody’s there to help what’s the point? And why would one want to play two different tbc? I’m just not sure how they could be different…???
Classic Vanilla was a game started last year with its own server. The new Classic TBC will be on a different server with a clean slate.
These are your options to play Classic TBC:
-
If you have a toon from Classic Vanilla and you want to play them on Classic TBC, you need to transfer them to Classic TBC. And this transfer is not free. You have to pay for the transfer service.
-
If you want a new toon for Classic TBC, you could do so. It’s free but you start from level 1.
-
If you want a new toon for Classic TBC boosted to level 58, you create a free toon first on Classic TBC and buy the boost. Then boost your level 1 toon to level 58. The boost covers Acquiring Riding Skill and gets you a mount and also skill up your Weapon Skills. Starting from Weapon skill (Sword, Mace, Spear, Wand, Dagger, etc) of 1 is painful. Boosting helps so you could go ahead and start your adventure straight to TBC instead of grinding first on Classic - Vanilla.
and start your adventure straight to TBC instead of grinding first on Classic - Vanilla.
That does sound enticing. I figured I’d be missing the whole intent and immersive experience not doing Classic from the beginning. But your options actually sound fun.
I’ve got an elemental dwarf shaman I just started - level 9 I think …could just restart her in TBC, but I’d loose her/a version of her cool name I like. Funny how fast you get attached to a new toon, and new class & spec you like playing.
You sure about that? I mail myself stuff all the time…
Apparently I’m wrong. Ha! I could’ve sworn it was that way in vanilla, so I just made a toon with my second account to exchange things between my characters…
Don’t mind me, just doing dumb guy stuff… I probably confused FFXIV with classic WoW.
Won’t people just boosht for free instead of levelin’?
Boosts are something like $35 as far as I am aware. Plus I read that you cannot boost either Blood Elves or Draenai.
did u try it
Yeah, it was boring. I can see it is boring for you too since you are still level 15.
no , it is not borang , u get to esplore and kill alot of evil monster , get to rid planet of evil , be hero , i get alot of day play on my char , is fun , but dont go outta orgramer HAHAHAHAHA
So what about realm choice if I decided to activate my character on bc? Is it automatically moved to a specific server? My server is dead for Horde.
Remember to roll a meta spec if you want to pvp.
