A few friends and I were discussing this last evening and we pretty much came to the conclusion that we would do it if it were an option. So long as it wasn’t say $100, we transfer to alliance to achieve better queue times even if it were a permanent stay. However, this is probably only the case because we’re on benediction and both horde and alliance have a very healthy (near 50/50) population balance.
Thoughts? Would you ACTUALLY do it, given the option?

Yeah very true, although I think most wouldn’t even if it was free. They picked Horde for the better PVP racials and would just hope others take the transfer to lower their queue rather than give them up themselves.
I dont think I would, the alliance is a lame faction overall. And the alliance community are people I dont want to play with, these are people that celebrate others having a 1 hour queue - absolute scum!

I disagree, I think the initial folks did but really most are just there because their friends are on Horde. However, in my case, all my friends would FC with me so it eliminates that.

In a heartbeat, even if it were paid. I’d pay between 25-50$ without thinking. BGs are why I play this game. Loved grinding to R12 in classic. Queues used to be ~15 mins, so it wasn’t that bad. Right now its pretty much unplayable.
its not just about racials its though thats part of it. majority of the players who enjoy bgs went horde. racials do play a big part because that is the meme so people most lkely went horde thinking if i want to have easier time winning bgs or find good arena partners my chances are better on horde. whether racials are better or not doesnt matter to me but the perception that they are played a huge role. people will go to where like minded players are. hence why if you want to join a good guild your going to xfr to big server with many top guilds to chose from to increase your chances for success
No, i don’t play horde for any other reason than it being the faction i enjoy playing.
I am not saying that there aren’t those that play horde just because they like the faction better but these things tend to have snowball effects
Racials are unbalanced>serious PVPers want to go horde for racials>serious PVPers convince their friends to play and so they play horde to join their friends>friends of friends ect ect
I don’t think people would take it even if it was free.
Mind you, they should probably still put the option out there, but I don’t think enough people would take it to really effect queue times. It would maybe drop queue times by 10 minutes.
I would transfer to Horde any day. I’d take longer queues for BiS racials, motivated pvp players, wpvp domination, etc. Enjoy your 20% win rate in bgs. What’s the point of insta queueing into bg’s just to lose and sometimes gain literally zero honor?
Yeah I’ve heard this plenty, I’ve honestly never met a single person that made their faction decision because of racials. Maybe it’s because i don’t play at the top 1% or something i dunno. But most people just play the faction they like.
H->A transfers are not going to happen for the same reason PvE characters can’t transfer to PvP realms. you had it too easy leveling. if you want a level 70 alliance character on a PvP realm, you have to earn it. be grateful blizzard is letting you skip the first 58 levels with a boost, because that’s more than you deserve.
The question wasn’t aimed at you. You aren’t horde. Nor their spokes person.
As for me, I wouldn’t change. I play both factions, the horde side isn’t for racials, I like their lore.

Definitely not. Alliance are the type of people we used to bully in school. You can tell their snarky personality by the way they type on the forums.
There is no question that their community is not for me. Horde value pvp and we will gank every single one of them
