I wonder why you find yourself unable to trust anyone.
By you own admission, you were incapable of trust even after guild banks were added.
You did not use the term “watch like a hawk”, but multiple daily checks of the log, just waiting to catch someone sure seems to display a glaring lack of trust, IMO.
I would check to see what happened if I noticed a large amount of recourses or high value items disappeared, but it was far from daily. do you not occasional check your bank account and statements to make sure your not being robbed by identity theft in some way? trying to prevent theft when a red flag is raised is hardly watching it like a hawk.
but hay, you like to point the finger at others to try and discredit them because you cant make a valid argument on this topic.
edit: ill give you an example, I donated 1000s of ore to my guild bank, I noticed someone withdrew it, about an hour later they deposited a large amount of gems to the guild bank. the person who did this was the guilds main jewel crafter.
1000s of ore disappearing raised a red flag, I checked who took it, and then knowing he is the guild jewel crafter I checked the other tab in the guild bank to see he deposited a large amount of cut gems. thus with this infomrtion I can see that he took the resources from the guild to convert them into a different resource that the guild wanted more than raw ore because our cut gems were getting low, and that is WHY I farmed the ore to begin with. because I saw we were low on cut gems, went to gather the ore, and sent an in game letter to the guilds jewel crafter explaining what I was doing, and communicating with him because I saw the guild was in need of a resource.
I wouldn’t have done that with guild banks for a multitude of reasons.
I can normally follow the logic behind changes causing a ripple effect, like transmog causing problems with inflation and pvp gameplay, but it would have a pretty minimal impact on its own.
It could help with the economy if it’s turned into a fairly big gold sink as well.
many of the guild bank supporters a perfectly fine with it being expensive. I given how expensive guild tabs are in retail if they kept that price they would be capable of removing over a million gold from the economy within the 1st 2 years if 100 guilds got fully bought guild tabs. this topic was brought up in the guild bank threads.
well considering that ore didn’t stack up to 200 at the time, yes. I filled up my bags 5 times over gathering it all I don’t remember the exact number of ore I had gathered but it was a weeks worth of gathering for 8+ hours a day. it was probably near 5000 ore so it would have been more than what he would want to have his mailbox bombarded with.
part of my play style is im a gatherer, ive had MANY people complain to me with how ive flooded their mailboxes and got told to use the guild bank. on top of that, the fact it was done in the guild bank shows participation in the guild and can help other guildies who play on off hours see that the guild is active and well through guild bank logs.
if I had sold all the stuff I gave to other people through my time playing wow, I would have hit the gold cap 5 times over. but I would much rather have a system I can make sure the things I give are being used for what I give them for over a system where I can end up giving someone a ton of free gold.
yes ill play but one thing guys classic is C L A S S I C lol it will go back to old school kick your butt grind and level grind and level travel the world and find that dungeon get that quest find it and do it lol good old fun the way it use to be and the way it should have stayed during every expansion my opinion .
Ironic to hear that word from someone who dismisses literally everything that’s not fitting his push towards getting a guild bank. I think you might be confusing discussion with an echo chamber, common misconception nowadays.
may want to carefully reread what’s been posted as the arguments made against guild banks have been countered through logic and reasoning that they refuse to accept.
I can tell a color blind person the sky is blue, but their perspective can be so different they might not see it as such.
There’s logical arguments for every addition to classic. In addition, the arguments against are logical. It’s a difference of OPINION. Blizzard will screw up classic somehow, it’ll flop and they’ll say oh see you didn’t want it.
However, if this is truly meant to be a reacreation of classic then by the projects nature guild banks shouldn’t be added.
I wonder if they continue to tbc if people will cry about post tbc additions.
