I liked my frog in BfA.

It became a lot less fun when everyone was riding around on their poverty froggos with Shadowlands.

I feel there absolute is a bonus to desirability for things you have that others don’t. It’s not the be all end all of things, but I think saying it plays a part is accurate.

Yes. I understand why people say “it shouldn’t matter if other people have them too”, but placing value on rarity and uniqueness is basic human psychology that we can’t deny.

The original post was in reference to the 17th anniversary event where the mount drop chance was very low before it was hotfixed to being 100%.

A part of that discussion was some players wanting the mount to be 100% so they could collect it versus other players who had already farmed the mount at a low % chance and felt like the novelty was removed once the mount was available to everyone.
