You know you have to tripleweave as Summoner, right?
The higher GCD is because you have to fit several off GCDs between those 2.5s.

oh yeah, it’s not just gamers by any means
I do miss the Metzen and Didier energy that used to exist.
The cult of Square Enix.
The funniest thing is that an optimized Samurai deals massive personal DPS but an optimized Bard deals just as much damage in the form of constant buffs to the whole raid. FFXIV actually managed to balance the drawbacks and strength of jobs well, unlike WoW where they gave mages bloodlust and just shelved any plans for DPS shamans for like 5 years lmao
He probably doesint even know about double weaving much less triple
I worship at the altar of Yoshi P, who worships at the altar of WoW, where you worship as well, so it all comes full circle, my dude.
The devs are people with virtues and vices. If another franchise was able to exhibit humility and it caused a positive shift in the playerbase, so can blizzard.
I kind of feel like this thread illustrates a lot. Starting with the premise that Blizzard doesn’t apologize. Yet when pointed out they have, many times, for different things…
…people rip that apart and go “THAT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH”
Man, wouldn’t it be nice if the fans of Blizzard treated Blizzard the same way Square Enix’s fans do? Brb making a new thread!
I’m agnostic. I don’t worship anything.
Like in any large company, I think there are hard core, rah rah, true believers. But for most of the others it’s a job. Make and meet internal targets and milestones, show sufficient enthusiasm, get along with others, and don’t piss off the boss. lol
I feel most game devs are somewhat passionate about their job. Just by the nature of being game devs. You’re not really doing that just because it’s a job. You can get better hours, benefits, and salary by not working on games(…by that I mean be a dev at any other generic non-gaming industry company)
People complain about the GCD but in FFXIV every DPS class (and most healers and tanks too) get a ton of off GCDs that are supposed to be weaved in between.
You dont find many in ARR because the game is designed to be friendly to people who have never played an MMO. But after ARR things start to become pretty busy.
Just do the minimum to get by is my motto.
I didnt learn i could triple weave as a bard till last year and it pumped my dps massively
As someone said, the main issue with Blizz is corporate and the dev head honchos. Ion is a good raid and dungeon designer, but he has zero interesting on anything else. He isnt a good lead designer for the game as a whole.
Everyone under him doesnt care or is burned out or left. Tragically this kind of thing repeats through most western game AAA studios.
The WoW’S GD forum has unofficially because FFXIV second official forum.
I thought tracking dps in there was a big no-no.
I kind of want to make a joke about there being more FF posts here than at their official forums but I feel like some people wouldn’t take it very well.
Its only a no no if you flaunt it and are toxic about it. If you just use it to track yourself or if your a static no one cares
