Its not condoned for like pushing around sprouts in random roulettes, but for personal and static raid groups no one really cares.

I think they’re just too close to the problem to confront the situation, forest for the trees, etc. My guess is a lot of rank and file are aware of, but get shut down or not listened to. Pointing out obvious problems from the player side has not worked for a decade or more. I think the only hope is that they work it out for themselves.
They desperately need to play the competition’s games, play their own game with fresh eyes, and have a hard discussion with themselves about how much needs to be dumpstered and replaced.
Nah we just dont like being in our own bubble forum because our fanbase while not perfect is mostly united in what we wanna see from the game and devs so we just reahsh a bunch of stuff we already agree on

I wonder how much of that is because of console players. I wonder that in general really. How having a sizable portion of the playerbase on consoles impacts various metrics.
No tabbing out to forums. No having a twitch stream on your second monitor, etc. Heck, no tabbing out to ffhead or whatever their equivalent is.
Maybe it doesn’t at all, heck if I know.

I suppose the first question’s answer will impact the second, but from what I can tell, people are upset about a bunch of stuff they just don’t like or agree with.
Just because you dislike something doesn’t mean Blizzard has done something wrong.
If they apologized for something like that, they would be apologizing for every single decision ever.

To be fair, FFXIV has much better people, because they weed out the a-holes. You’re a jerk? Take a vacation.
WoW did respond to our feedback, and people were still jerks no matter what they did. I kinda wish they took the same route SE did and just get rid of the toxic folks. Then again, IDK who would be left.

Most of the things apologized for in the past few expansions are still in the game in some form. Apologies are meaningless. Saying hollow apologies are meaningless is meaningless. Only thing that will work is hard work at this point. More of the same is probably 10.0 being the last chapter before maintenance mode.

Right, and stuff like that can never happen. During that time people loved Ele and people hated it.
You apologize for things that are objectively wrong or broken.
Not much that I can tell of that actually happens with WoW.

They’d respond with a whole lot of suspensions and bans if they responded to players the way that SE responds to players who are “toxic” like they are here.
