They won’t because too many names are locked and they can’t introduce last names, the ability to use a space or other punctuation. For whatever reason.

I would just name change then I have this name with out the funky a also lol. I had this name since cata so idk when the change was put in to use them
I don’t have a single one in any of the 12 names I have. So it wouldn’t impact me at all. I think they just need to allow for a hyphen or a single space in names. This way it would be easier to get names you want without having to game the naming system with special characters.

Pretty much this right here. The only character I ever made with an accent was part of a duo with another player where we had the same name but with slightly different accents on one letter. That character is long gone now and the annoyance of special characters has kept me from making any more.
Most of my characters would be fine, but a few of them would have to change. I only add those when I reeeallly like the name.
In general though? I’d just swap names and move on with my life.

Id be all for it if they’d let us do first and last names. Right now its the only way some people are able to get the name they want, even if I don’t use it.
I’ve had this name since Vanilla. If they change it to a normal E, i’m fine with that, but if i have to make a new name, things won’t end well.

I had a character with a special character once, and I liked them, but I deleted them because it got to be so annoying. Every time I wanted to mail them from another character, invite them to groups, or look at their armory without being logged in, it was super frustrating because I’d always forget the alt code. I wouldn’t mind this change, personally, but I’m not pushing for it either since I know some people add the special characters on purpose and enjoy them that way.
I’d care a little bit, because in my RP, Fey has the special character in her name, but I’d move on.
The amount of DH and DK hate could fuel a city.

This won’t help one bit. People will still have their XxIllidanxX or XxSasukexX.

I generally don’t do “Cheat the names” except on Belfs. But on an RP server its a must.
