i want drakonids
What do you even give the Alliance at this point that the vast majority would actually enjoy?
Group A wants more “pretty” races, Group B would unironically crap their pants if they got recolors or reskins like high elves and Broken, Group C wants reskinned tauren or something similar because they insist the Alliance “needs” another beast-man race but would never actually play such a race if it was implemented, Group D wants more stolen Horde races just to spite Horde players…
Meanwhile, the Horde community asks for new races far less often, and when they do, they’re generally races where the consensus is “they’re cool”.
Not when the Horde got moose tauren, brown orcs, and unfinished nightborne.
You weren’t getting more unique races if they screwed over gnome and draenei fans. If those spots on the character creation menu weren’t occupied by reskins, they would’ve been occupied by different reskins, because allied races mainly weren’t intended to be anything else.
Vrykul only, i’m pretty sure blizzard is waiting to use them to get a big flow of subs or transfers to make some quick cash. I would instantly play one
Well said, dude. Well said.
Tuskarr! or maybe the Fish Dudes! no, wait Furbolgs! argh, so many choices!
oi… unoriginal and boring, that’s you in a nutshell. why do you want to play even more humans!?
that’s a Dwarf…
It’ll probably be those vampire people from Shadow Lands.
That would actually be a really nice option.
You really can’t use this card and have it have the impact it used to, they gave Nightborne decent pass in the new customization options.
And right afterwards you got 2 of the hordes most popular to date and requested races in Zandalari trolls and vulpera.
Where when the Alliance asked heavily for Sethrak and ROBOT gnomes, we got diaper babies with the most atrociously ugly customization outside their heritage armor and aesthetically unappealing fat humans.
I would say our only real “W”s in allied races were void elves (after their customization additions) and dark iron dwarfs.
Like HM Tauren and Mag’har Orcs should’ve been?
Trolls are already playable.
Furbolgs or High Elves – those bubblegum-lookin’ FREAKS don’t count none. Not no-way, not no-how!
See Murlocks like Sir Finly be nice know Murlocks not just a group of stupid savages be nice.
I can see Murlocks being Shaman,Mages,Paladins or Warriors so can be a race.
Vrykrul i can see them 110% Warriors, Paladin and Deathknights
but what i like see the Snake People (forgot their name) Join them as rival to Vulpera
My point stands that the Horde got a race that they were largely apathetic toward on release, with the bare minimum amount of customization that wasn’t corrected until about two years later, while the Alliance got a copy of the Horde’s most single popular race that started off as its own unique thing before the Alliance community pressured Blizzard into letting their new race cannibalize customizations from its Horde counterpart, and is now one of the game’s most popular races overall.
Never worked as a playable race for too many reasons (are mindless automatons, would look even worse in gear than the cyborgs, loyalties are more to the Titans than the Alliance, can’t eat or drink, etc.)
No matter how much the Alliance community kicked, screamed, and begged, they weren’t getting sethrak, they were NEVER getting sethrak. Any disappointment over getting Kul Tirans and mechagnomes over sethrak stems from the belief that they were getting something they were never promised and checked off few to none of the allied races boxes in the first place.
Real High Elves!!!
Yeah sorry, this was never for you to decide upon, and given your pathetically obviously bias, for you to even have a fair opinion on.
Allied races have joined our factions for less than it would of taken for Sethrak to, we already had positive relations with them and didn’t ALREADY have a voldun race lined up to be a AR.
All of which are pointless to argue when the entire point of mechagnomes was the fact they had been isolated. It takes exactly 0 effort to come up with a story of gnomes who de-cursed of fleshed themselves into robots and joined the Alliance for the sole reason that they used to be our gnomes, just because they became robots of their own effort doesn’t automatically make them Titan robognomes.
The last thing horde was was apathetic towards nightborne my guy, horde cried for years, about nightborne, rightfully so, but you can’t lie about nightborne being an “L” when they were complained about constantly and became a total win after they were rightfully worked on in Shadowlands.
Take a guess at 2 races who have had 0 work and are the 2 most underplayed races in the game on BOTH factions, Kul Titans and diaper gnomes, both massive “L”s for the Alliance.
Broken i wanna see as playable.
or at least try to make something involving the smart monkeys we been seeing lately now and then…
probably cringe opinion but something dragon related. the only positive horde interaction they have really had is with thrall. and that was when he was neutral trade marked.
Doable, and has some lore legitimacy because they allied with the elves after Cataclysm. Just keep in mind this is basically just reskinned Pandaren, and Pandaren are already on the far low end of played races.
Not sure how well they fit thematically with the alliance.
Might make a good addition. Again, I’m not sure how popular they would be though.
The old crippled ones are a hard pass. The new ones seem like a real chore to make armor fit.
No. These are best left as a neutral race for some expansion. Really I don’t get why they aren’t in this one instead of Brokers.
The idea of having space mummies, jinu gill men, vampires, and worgen has some amusing appeal on the other hand though.
Dwarves are a good fit, but with 2 dwarf races, a 3rd is too much.
No.
These weren’t even particularly popular as NPCs.
So ugly. I’m sure the fan base would riot over this slap in the face. Blizzard literally had to retcon a large section of lore to keep this look out of the Alliance.
Maybe?
Nah they were a neutral race without much interest in the outside world. I think it is best they are left like that.
The race I would consider adding, if Blizzard hadn’t done lightforged Draeni, would be Eradar. Since Velen’s son was killed before the machine that resurrected demons was destroyed, he should still be alive somewhere, potentially leading them. Since Sargeras has been tucked away, what are all those Eradar off doing? Are any repenting? Would this be a way to get warlocks rogues and demon hunters in Draeni form? We may never know!
I’d actually like more of the semi allied races added as skins. Like mechagnomes could get some leper gnome skins. Really this is what lightforged Draeni should have been but that ship has sailed.
I do want to avoid over monsterizing the Alliance. It takes away from the theme of what worgen are and how they are almost outsiders, but not quite.
