If a trial character loots a transmog or mount can I delete the character and keep the item?

Making class trials to farm for the Grand Hunt mount. If I happen to get it will it be safe to delete the trial character?

Last I tried it you keep it.

I have bought transmogs on my trial think and it then showed up as “already owned” on characters on my main account, so I think it does work fine.

Yes, you will keep the transmog and mount as they are account-level. Safe to delete them after :slight_smile:

Hopefully the conversion to Warbands doesn’t muck that up. Maybe wait until after the Pre-patch to delete that toon.

Rita is correct. As long as you learned the Transmog/mount and it was added to your collection they’ll still be available even after you delete the character.

Edit: Sorry, I completely missed “Class trial” and just saw “trial”. Forgive me.

There may be some limitations on what can be learned, as I would agree with Jeysca, that much would depend on how the mount is classified. It may only apply to rare mounts like the “Time-Lost Proto-Drake”, but I am not 100% on that.

I’d read through that. You will not learn transmog unless the character gets boosted. I am unsure if the mount from grand hunt counts as “rare” but they also cannot learn “rare mounts”.

I can confirm that certain rare mounts cannot be looted/learned from a trial toon. I can vaguely remember rage threads in the past about that while everyone pointed out… It’s a trial, not meant for farming extra mounts… You can unlock it by paying etc but they wouldn’t listen.

I read it. It says “will not unlock account-wide appearances until boosted,” which I read to mean the same as what I think you’re saying, no transmogs at all will be learned. But others said it does work for at least some items. Conflicting info, what to do? A test!

So I made a class trial, mailed her some blue and green BOEs. She learned them, then vendored them. I deleted her, and then successfully used one of those appearances on another toon. So it’s definitely not “no transmogs can be learned” even though the article seems to say that.

That’s normal gear, not mounts, nothing you could call rare, and also I didn’t loot anything, so I am in no way suggesting that therefore you can loot and learn a rare mount with a class trial - in fact I would assume you can’t. All I learned is that some transmogs may be learned and be available account wide.
