If 2v2 had a unique reward/title (separate from gladiator/rank 1 title) at top .1% and top .5% of 2s ladder… would you push and play 2s? This is primarily a question for people who don’t play 2s much, or only play 3s.
i say keep all the soft frilly filly 3s players who need a carrot on a sick outta 2s,
2s is the true blood bracket
At the very least I think that it’d benefit from a unique 2400 reward.
the blood of your enemies in the arena is your reward, cr 2 moon is your reward
lol what a 3s player take
Those percentages exclude the vast majority of players, so I personally wouldn’t be motivated to play 2s anymore than I do now, especially considering that both of those rewards/titles would further require getting in voice and being very sweaty about pushing.
This coupled with the really poor balancing in 2s [e.g., if you don’t have r1 coordination, might as well just label 2s as the rdruid/hunter bracket, or rdruid/dh bracket, etc., to the extent that it wouldn’t be worth playing if you aren’t a meta spec and able to play a meta comp].
More importantly, if there is no solo-queue button, then hell nah. Hard pass.
If there is a unique reward that I can obtain via solo queueing into the 2s bracket or a separate 2s bracket with solo queue, then sure.
It just seems like many of the top 3’s players, excluding people like magnusz and Nessper, etc don’t even bother pushing 2s at all, which I think is a shame. It’s also likely why the ratings are generally much lower than the ratings of 3s.
its because they cant handle it lol not my problem
lol ‘the game is balenced around 3s’ is the biggest coping mechanism ive never seen lmao
you’re delusional if you think 3s is any more balences than 2s
2’s heavily favors specs with healing debuffs and disproportionately rewards people who do the bare minimum playing those specs. Not a fan of further rewarding these types of players.
I play some 2s, it’s just that it takes a long time to get caught up on cr. ![]()
skill issue
I find it kind of odd that you say this about 2s, but say …
about shuffle when someone mentions adding a 2400 or higher reward.
Just bias towards premade arena I suppose [e.g., screw the shufflers]?
I mean, I can say the exact same thing about you viewing it the other way around.
The difference though is that I am right. Despite any/all imbalances that 3v3 might have, 3s are objectively more balanced than 2s.
I’m not against more rewards, I’m all for that, but let’s say the op’s idea was implemented right now, and let’s assume that the comps getting the rewards/titles would be of the healer/dps format.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MANY SKILL MUCH AMAZE RDRUIDS FOR PRESSING CYCLONE SO WELL!!!
Every healer getting the rewards/titles would be a rdruid, or at best mostly rdruids sprinkled with a few holy priests.
I’m certain that I am not the delusional one in this scenario my friend.
Again, I’m fine with adding more rewards in general. Make it a 2400cr one for all I care (e.g., I wouldn’t even be able to get this in 2s as a holy paladin right now if I tried, but more rewards is a good thing regardless imo).
One last time for the LULs

its not a skill issue i just happen to be a warrior >:(
Shuffle already has a unique 2400 reward as well as titles, though.
2v2 only offers generic rewards.
Fair enough as far as the titles, but please don’t call the pennant a reward lol. It’s insulting.
Imagine how much less boosting/RMT there would be, and how dead the 3s bracket would be right now if the 2400+50 wins reward was a pennant instead of a mount.

I’m on board with 2s getting some unique reward(s), but yeah, shuffle deserves an ACTUAL REWARD that isn’t complete trash.
3s shouldn’t be the only bracket in pvp that rewards players with something nice [e.g., a cool mount] for pushing high.
If I had a nickel for every time a wow player strived for a pennant, felt pride and joy rocking their pennant, etc., I imagine that I would never have a nickel to my name.
A proper reward structure is the biggest thing the current PvP system is missing.
No amount of rewards could ever get me to push 2s. It’s an awful bracket.
Idk, I think 2s is really fun if/when the spec you main is actually strong in it. When your spec sucks in 2s though, yeah, I would never subject myself to trying to push rating in it. Way too many smooth brain dh, bm hunter, rdruid players thinking they are good.
Balance-wise for sure, but idk, 2s can be a vibe imo. It largely just depends on the pacing/balancing [e.g., if games didn’t often last 10+ minutes where no one dies no matter what you do, and if more than just a small handful of specs/comps were viable, I think it would be good].
It’s just not fun for me. 2s balancing just feels weird and bad.
Fair enough, and yeah I agree about the balancing 100%.
3s has far more comp variety than 2s does if those rewards for added the entire ladder would be hunter/rdruid rerolls
