I feel like the Alliance side of the Darkshore warfront shouldve been more of a small contingent harassing occupying forces than a mirror image of what the horde experiences.
But they added Gilneas troops to even things up (I kinda wanted Genn to sieze some land, build a wall, and ignore the whole thing)
Respecfully disagree. It’s been stated that the Night Elves kept their armed forces intact (insert meme, there will be enough elves that the plot requires) but even if i would agree with your point, it would be yet another spit in the face of a race (and a RL fandom) of people that had maybe too many for cheap thrills.
There it is. Don’t act like a Male Human Paladin with your racial hate-ons.
I can find nothing that says this, so no, this has no basis. It’s entirely possible that there’s just more young Kaldorei than old ones now.
I dunno if you know this, but Draenei aren’t Kaldorei.
At risk of derailing, the ‘immortal’ races in terms of how they’re depicted in Warcraft thus far age at the same rate as humans until they reach physical prime, at which point it presumably slows right down.
The rites of passage, resulting in the markings we see on female night elves, can apparently be taken at any point once the kaldorei reaches adulthood, but seem to be a personal thing, rather than a requirement. Delaryn didn’t have her markings at all, yet was high enough rank to become a captain once her CO was killed.
I thought their military was annihilated in War of Thorns, both their homeguard and the main group on their fleet.
The military wasn’t there, no. The home guard was, they held off the entirety of the Horde with a skeleton crew, but the fleet wasn’t around yet. The refugees we see in Stormwind are all from Darnassus, while the main military was still fighting the Horde in Kalimdor. The status of a lot of areas is a bit hard to figure, but basically Ashenvale is in the midst of a struggle, with the Army of the Black Moon fighting in Darkshore.
If that is the case then fine, I will say that they might be able to repopulate quicker then I assumed, but that doesn’t change much, so now instead of a small force of elites, they now have a large force of young greenhorns who would be little more use then farmers at that point against the more grizzled veterans of the Horde. All in all, without the Alliance they would still be unable to even combat Darkshore at all.
Between all the extinction level events, orcs should be completely obliterated.
See? I can do it too. Now shut up, you’re disrupting a solid thread. This isn’t about whether they should be extinct or not.
I cant rmember, I recall Malfurion showing up with a bunch of boats and thats it.
Regardless, I feel like the Darkshore questlines wouldve been amazing if you were stuck with a band of highly sought, surly dwarven mercenaries all armed with shotguns. Then you get to run through darkshore shooting zombies in the head while cursing in scottish.
Orcs, maybe. But here is the thing, we are talking about a solo race here, there is no question that Orcs would leave the Horde ever, yet we see here people claiming that the Night Elves should leave the Alliance, at which point they would not be able to even contest Darkshore. You know the difference between you and me? I saw that I was a bit of a butt in my starting post and decided to change that and started being less insulting, you just keep going like the troll you are.
I don’t think you know what troll means, tumor. Were I trolling you, I’d be trying to grab a rise out of you. I don’t care enough about you to get one.
As far as your original post goes? Well, it’s a pattern with you, isn’t it? Every thread you post in turns to . Now hush up, adults are talking, this thread has potential.
Yes, they are so the child, you, should really be silent. You are the one turning it into a flame-fest, I gave my fair opinion on a race, I was wrong about one thing, which was how quickly they grew up, and I could admit to that, even though I don’t like them as a race, doesn’t matter. Beyond that all I said was true and fair from what I knew of them, which yes, some of it might have been outdated and I was corrected on it. No thanks to you by the way. It is weird how others can actually talk to me and actually change my mind on things by pointing out lore that I didn’t know (usually because of retcons), whereas you just troll.
And nah, you are trolling, you are just very bad at it.
Honestly, my ideal night elven world is the following.
Not fighting the horde. Their boring as enemies.
If you guys wanna argue, itll be alot more entertaining for everyone if you do it IC.
Pulls out tailgate, sets up grill, puts on apron
To be honest, your Scarlet Tabard there really does make for an excellent grilling apron.
I would, but I have no desire to see what kind of hellspawn someone like that comes up with.
Were I trolling, I’d consider it a success, cause I’ve got you writin’ a thesis over a few sentences. Now before you respond, know I don’t care.
Furrows brow, looks down at sizzling bratwurst, frowns in dissappointment
But Human Paladins are supposed to FIGHT hellspawn.
Were I going to fight him, I’d need my body back.
If Terra can fight without a body so can you. I believe in you Grandblade!
One day I will set this right.
