I agree with that, actually.

Like I said, I like that BFA has alternate routes now.

I don’t care what that mentality did for Wildstar. What it did for WOW was give it 15 years as the dominant MMORPG game out there.

Effort=reward, that’s simply how the world works. If you want gear handed to you play one of those Korean games and swipe your credit card.

I mean 1 wipe disbands are the entire reason mythic could never be queueable, or even normal mode for that matter.

If a boss takes multiple pulls, people will leave. If you are queueing for mythic, a difficulty that has bosses that can take well over 100 tries, you would just end up in a perpetual state of learning the fight with a “slightly” different team each attempt.

Every time someone leaves someone new steps in and you have to re-progress with them as they get comfortable with their role in the fight.

If you have a boss that takes multiple raid nights and requires tight DPS checks this would be an absolute nightmare.

Not only would people leave after every wipe, but if there was any sort of DPS check vote kicks would be going out after every pull for anyone not at the top of the meters, compounding the problem of teaching fresh people to join.

I think alternative routes are fine as well. My problem just stems from some of the rewards that are given out are just not equal to the difficulty players are partaking in. For instance some of the Benthic pieces are better than fully warforged Mythic slots. And that’s from doing WQs.

From raids, the loss of tier was a massive blow to the raiding scene in BFA.

where’s the high level content for 5 mans? not being facetious here, i just resubscribed and i’m not even at endgame yet. do mythic and mythic+ apply to 5 man groups or are we back in the old days of “raid or die” for gear?

Yes, M+ is 5 man “hard mode”. It’s a combination of toon power, player knowledge, tricks and gimmicks in routing, etc. to get the high level events done on time.

Mythic + is the high end scene for 5 man groups and rewards base 430 gear (heroic raid level) and a weekly chest with 440+ in it. You can also buy Azerite pieces with the Titan Residuum you get in your chest that are mythic raid level.

If the content ultimately feels unrewarding then what is stopping players who enjoy playing with their Guild to not just go to a game that feels rewarding and play together there.

Anywho, to dissect:

That part shouldn’t have to be difficult, but it is. The game does a terrible job teaching new people.

Lady Ashvane comes to mind. I think for fights like hers, it would need several more of the previous difficulty’s kills just to make sure you understand hers is a DPS check.

The VTK system is actually better than the “ALL GLORY TO GROUP LEADER” mode.

True, they need to add Benthic-like effects to all other modern gear too, and not just Nazjatar/TEP.

So if people leave after 1 wipe in semi organized pugs, what on earth makes you think they will stick around for 100+ pulls in your mythic LFR lol?

Maybe this is just excellent bait, but holy moly if you actually think queueable mythic would ever down a single boss you are delusional.

I have absolutely no issue with the hardest content giving the best rewards… That is as it should be… But I also believe that there should be alternate paths to gearing. Specially with how they’re doing zones and mobs now. Basic leveling greens and blues aren’t enough to efficiently get through their hamster wheels.

That’s to be expected. Some go classic, some will go to some other game. So while gearing is busted, ultimately people just can’t go on thrill alone without a reward because it ultimately will feel unrewarding thus having Jalen and others leave.

There is an item, Diver’s Folly. That is easily the most interesting non-zonebound item in the game as of 8.2.

Gearing isn’t busted. It’s different than you want it to be. Those things don’t equivocate to the same thing. What you dislike I like. I’m glad ML is gone. I’m glad they have M+ gearing options. I do not dislike forging or Benthic gear. The only thing I’d change about right now is making Essences account-wide because farming power progression that takes 2-3 weeks on every single character for the exact same reward is stupid imo.

For those that aren’t happy that are leaving, good. I hope they find what they want in Classic or in another game. It’s not possible to cater to that crowd without completely crapping on the rest of the playerbase.

So you genuinely believe the only thing holding you and other casuals back from chewing through mythic EP is a lack of queue?

I am at a loss for words.

LFR can barely handle the most basic of mechanics you think they are gonna be able to down a fight that requires multiple nights of progression for organized teams with properly timed healer CDs, soaks, and tight DPS checks?

I want some of whatever your smoking.
