Idc I want tinkers

Just because something is generic doesn’t mean it is immediately bad. Dragons are cool; there is a reason they are used so much in fantasy games.

I don’t disagree.
Dragons are awesome, and they are a great piece of high fantasy.

But for a new class, I’d rather have something really unique.

And of course, something based on WarCraft 3. Blizzard clearly loves to rip off Warcraft 3.

I would love a Dragon RACE. Because we’ve seen dragons with similar powers to us.

Well, I guess we will see what happens on April 19th lol. Good luck <3

Oh, lemme grab my Brewmaster to make everyone some drinks… What’s that? Oh, that’s not a thing they do? Well, damn.

Who in their right mind would ever think a Tinker CLASS would be the same as an Engineer PROFESSION?! Professions make/gather things. Classes use abilities. They are NOT the same thing.

If we get playable dragons, as a race. I’d be really happy.
I imagine them being able to look like any race is a big plus.

Could make their dragon flight be based on your class.
Blue Dragons = Mages
Red = Priest / Pal.
Green = Druid
Black = Warrior, Rogue. Possibly tinker. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Nefarian did a lot of alchemical experiments

We’ve had a ton of new races to play recently. We NEED a new class.

Agreed. We need a new class.
I hope it’s tinker because we have damn-near every class fantasy filled out and supported in the current class roster already.

While I can see Tinker shredder mechs working like druid forms, I can’t help but wonder if perhaps they could work like how vehicles work currently? Or like the special units in BFA warfronts?

Just a thought.

I also kind of like the idea of DPS Tinkers also being able to pilot vehicles, but where shredder pilots can spend 100 percent uptime in their mech as a tank form, DPS tinkers could temporarily drive a actual tank (think azerite warmachines in miniature or current horde demolishers or alliance steam tanks) as a dps cooldown. Maybe as a talent or something.

The class just flat out has tons of creative potential what they can do

I want them to add a Dwarf Mortar class that requires two players to control

Well, I don’t know about something quite THAT ambitious, I would love to seem some form of Mortar or Long Range nuke ability.

There’s precedent for it.
Shaman got Bloodlust from a non-hero unit.
Priest got dispel from a non-hero unit
I’d love to see tinkers get a long range mortar.

Give us a DPS cooldown called “The Big one”

They could have easily left meta on warlocks and had the better version on Demon Hunters, wouldn’t have bothered me one bit.

Same could be done for other classes.

Most spells are just a rehash anyway with differing visuals.

DK’s having that is fine, and had they made Necromancers, I wouldn’t have expected it to change. I would expect necromancers to have a shapeshift into an actual lich form, which is already better and more fitting than what the DKs have.
I’d like to se Necromancers with a tank spec, lich shape shift casting spec (death and ice magic), minion support dps spec, and a healing spec.

Tinkers would be awesome as well.
Being able to be all three roles would work nicely too since it’s already established.
You could also just open it to all races, it’s something that can be learned, so why not. It’s time to do away with class restrictions anyway, just do class skins to make them fit visually.

We also need a fully void focused class.

I’d like to see a Void Knight of some sort, Necromancer, and Tinker.

Dragon knights might be cool, but haven’t really been a thing, I’d like to see previously established WoW stuff get made into a class first.

People are often asking for a 4th spec for each class, so why not just give us 4 classes instead? That’s something like 12 specs too.

Early on he also would gather scrap to build little armor power ups for your allies.

His Ult would make a neat cooldown ability, I mean it’s named after a WoW Raid :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s really no reason they can’t do both.
More content to attract players and for existing players would be good.

Two dwarves shout “POWDER OVERWHELMING” and merge into a mortar team.

Mortar would make a cool tinker turret. Plop it down and it starts launching mortars at the targetted area or some such.

What awesome skills would a dragon class have?

Dragonstrike? Hurt your target with the power of Draygons whaoaaoaoa
Dargonmist? Heals your target with the power of Draygons whooooooo
Draygontaunt! Angers your enemies with the power of Durgrans omgerdzzzzzzz

They could build Dragon rage instead of normal rage and dragon points instead of combo points for builders.

Dumbest idea for a class ever.

I will admit… playing Deathwing or Alexstraza in Heroes of the storm these two characters are very satisfying to play.

Personal Opinion: The only way a dragon class would be done justice is if it is basically a race-class hybrid where you can spend 100 percent of time in combat as a mount sized drake. Also should use a worgen-like two forms system to represent dragons often taking humanoid forms.

My problem with a “Dragon Class”
Is how would you make it substantially different from existing class archetypes

Green dragons use the dream, how would you make their abilities substantially different from Druid?
Blue Dragons use the Arcane, how would you make that substantially different from a mage?

Now, Black and Bronze dragons certainly unique. I’ll offer that much.

But this is another point in Tinker’s favor if you ask me.
Tinkers abilities don’t need any justification in the lore, and they don’t overlap with existing classes at all

As much as I want ogres for lore reasons I just feel like nobody will actually play them.

I would like to be wrong but I don’t think I am. >_>

I wouldn’t play one, admittedly.
That doesn’t mean they’d be a bad addition, clearly people like them.

But a race that is iconically stupid is not for me.

But I already have all the races from Warcraft that I want to play, in game. Already.
Outside of entirely new races, there’s nothing more I would ask for

Is how would you make it substantially different from existing class archetypes

I’m not a game designer, so I can only offer a vague vision mechanically. I view them as a combination of druids (transformation) demon hunters (high mobility).

Green dragons use the dream, how would you make their abilities substantially different from Druid?
Blue Dragons use the Arcane, how would you make that substantially different from a mage?

I’d give the class three specs (Melee-mid range tank, melee-mid range dps, and healer) that would universally function similarly no matter what color dragonflight your dragon came from. Your color determines your damage type and looks different visually, but otherwise functions as a glorified class skin.

Dragons across all flights have some universality in the core functions of their abilities. The class would focus on that, with maybe some difference in utility to showcase each flights specialization?

But this is another point in Tinker’s favor if you ask me.
Tinkers abilities don’t need any justification in the lore, and they don’t overlap with existing classes at all

Oh no argument there. Tinkers just fill the empty niche in wows classes perfectly. Just noting my preferences if a dragon “class” was ever on the table.

As much as I want ogres for lore reasons I just feel like nobody will actually play them.

I respectfully disagree. I long for the day the play an ogre warlock, mage, death knight, or shaman.

Don’t forget about doorgan glide and dragydragy charge
