Mag’har tinkers! Blackrock Engineer!
There’s a Mag’har and goblin interaction in Zuldazar (or somewhere on Zandalar) I particularly like because it shows the engineering philosophies of the two races:
Goblins want efficiency and mass production though sometimes at the cost of reliability.
Mag’har want reliability and endurance, but it means they tend to overengineer their machines (Never drive a tank built by an orc!) to meet their complicated high standards.

Absolutely, Mag’Har orcs with guns and machines make up a significant chunk of enemy NPC’s we fight in Draenor. They should absolutely be tinkers.
Same with Dark iron Dwarves
Every time I do the Draenor opening with Thaelin Darkanvil, I feel confused that don’t have a Tinker class, when that’s so obviously his thing.

I don’t want tinkers. I never want to see or hear about tinkers again. We have engineering, those people can be called tinkers if you want.

So what class should I choose to be a Tinker? Because all of the classes we have seem to not be tinkers.
Same reason I want battle mages as a class.
Just cause we want em!
Choose any class you like and take up engineering. Idk what else to say because any new class they make, they’ll take existing talents away from existing classes to create it and that’s going to suck.

So, then I’d be a Warrior. Who’s all warrior themed with warrior abilities
Or a Hunter who’s all Hunter themed with Hunter abilities.
that’s not a Tinker.
The Engineering Profession isn’t a Tinker either. Literally none of these things give you Tinker abilities from WC3
Based on what precedent? Do you have any proof? None of the classes have Tinker abilities
This seems like the crux of your arguement
Addendum: you know people would stop making posts about it if we actually got the class.
A tinker class would be dumb. What does a tinker do? They tinker around with stuff, making it, tweaking existing stuff, things like that.
So when a fight comes up, what do they do? Pull out a lawnmower and start tinkering with it to make it a flamethrower or something.
Meantime all their teammates are dead. Or if they’re out in the world, they get eaten before they can run back to their garage and mess around with that lawnmower.
I’m sorry, just not feeling it.
- Besides, what I described above is what goblins do. All the time only they go the extra mile and milk you for your gold while they’re at it. They make more sense to me.

Think of it this way then, the Tinker is who, rather than the warrior training in the field, studies, innovates and creates tools which let them protect, assault and mend akin to a mighty warrior, mage or priest.
They don’t simply fiddle fart with half built gizmos, they build and create to resolve their issues and conflicts.
i just want wow to be good but thats not going wow has been terrible since wod and still going…lol.
So we just didn’t do the Dazar’alor raid is what you’re saying?
Or even play Warcraft 3, cause Tinkers famously use rockets, turrets, robots pets, mech suits.

Maybe the April 19th announcement will shed some light on if 10.0 is bringing a new class.
Pre-patch/Season 4 would be a good time to roll out a new class, hopefully the Tinker or whatever they name it as long as it is a tech class.
Otherwise the roll out of Season 4 is just going to be more of a very long drought.

Build Turrets, pocket factories.
Fire missiles.
Use guns.
Mech suits. You know. That stuff.
No, they’d probably hop in their Mech suit like Warcraft 3.
Just like a demon hunter turns into a giant demon.
How is this hard? It’s literally copy and paste from WC3
Keep going with this scenario you made up.
YES! Oh hell yeah.
I’d love to have a tinker class for this upcoming mythic plus season before 10.0

to me it’s a super boring class idea, plus we already got engineering in the game
most people would much rather have a new spellcaster or something to do with dragons plus an xpac that is thematically dragons…
dragons are so warcraft to the very bone… for them to do a class where you can tap into the power of dragons?
well that would be the coolest thing ever and would bring back millions of players after so many years of hurt

Okay, this doesn’t sound bad then. I can see it anyway and doesn’t sound like they’d be peeling off a lot of talents from existing classes so I guess I don’t care.
Hopefully we don’t get any new classes.

People hear “Tinker” and assume a bunch of wrong things.
My favorite way to spell it out is this:
In WC3, Death Knight:
- carried a rune blade
- had Unholy Auras
- shot Death Coils that hurt enemies and healed undead
- could raise any army of the dead
In WoW, Death Knight
- Carries a Runeblade
- has Unholy Auras
- casts Death Coils that hurt enemies and heal Undead
- can Raise an Army of the dead.
The same logic applies to Tinker.
Tinkers in WC3 shot missiles, had a Mech Suit, and Built pocket factories.
So a Tinker in WoW would do all that stuff
The same logic can be used with monks
The same logic can be used with demon hunters.
Addendum: don’t get me wrong; tinker is a silly name, and it gives people the wrong idea. But that is what BLIZZARD decided to call it so…

Do what GW2 machinists does ? Flamethrowers, turrets, mines etc
Do what FFxiv machinist does? Mech, shotguns, Gatling guns etc
Or you know … do what tinkers have been doing since the beginning of Warcraft and literally all of the above and then some. giving nations plethora of weapons and gadgets for offense ? Using skills that are unique to them and do not take away from any existing classes.
God I hate when people are stupid just to be stupid.
Hey, I understand it’s a passionate topic.
But, I think Squeaksmcgee genuinely didn’t know.
There’s nothing wrong with being genuinely ignorant.
Not everyone knows that Tinker basically means “Mecha Pilot with turrets, guns, and missiles.”
And if we’re explicitly rude to people, then less people will be on board for our idea.
