Id argue that reducing M+ difficulty is best for the longevity of the game

Tbh with the rebalancing of key levels they’ve done, portals really should be at 12s.

I’d be cool with that and would give me a reason to keep pushing keys. Once you get your ports and 2.6k IO the only thing left is farm 8 plus 10’s a week for vault.

That’s the one that’s stumping me.

Previously we had portals after the myth gear vault rewards, it was a reason to push from those 18’s to 20’s and then for myself, getting those portals made me want to see how high I could push in a key, but I understand that the lack of rewards beyond that drives players away.

It makes you wonder if that was the original design decision, or if they should’ve put portals at say 12’s where you have the other affix change.

Idk just seems odd that they would only build out rewards to 10 but then also stack those 10’s with max gear and portals

I honestly have no idea what the logic behind it was. I think gear wise rewards for keys are in a good place but the additional cosmetics/conveniences are a bit off and could go more towards the 12s and 15s range. I mean we are only half way threw the season and 10s are already super basic to time and complete and it’s only gunna get easier as we get more and more optimal gear.

If I had to restructure it. Bring back the 15 key levels. M0-m5 pretty easy

It’s about the rewards. That’s all you really want. Welfare epics. If they make the lower keys easier then they should move up the gear rewards with it then. I’ve made my stance clear from the start about there needing to be a balance between Raiding and M+ and making M+ easier means making gearing easier.

Also all the TWW bosses are just overtuned garbage. This week on tyrannical they just do AoE that kills the whole team in seconds.

Feels like we’re playing beta

I think the difficulty can remain as it is, but the threshold for obtaining gear should be lowered.
This game currently allows people without jobs to easily stay in the top tier, while other players struggle to balance work, life, and WoW.

Isn’t doing +10 with 619 gear much harder than with 626 or 636?
Those who start with guaranteed myth m+ gear and push through have it way easier than those who level up gradually.

This is a great post except for the fact it’s garbage and not at all what actually happens in the game as noted by millions of players successfully completing keys.

619 should be plenty to at least do a 10. I feel massive nerfs need to be done to some of the dungeons

Are you kidding me!? This new difficulty ruined this season for my group and I! We’ve completed FIVE MYTHIC ZEROES, FIVE! Between the stupid healers complaining and making it harder for everyone to have dependable defensives, and not being able to compensate. I was hit with less insta-cast which means I can’t cast spells in this movement heavy expansion, The group generally dies faster than the healer can keep up, and once again. MYTHIC ZERO is supposed to be a training ground of sorts. You can’t go from simple heroics, and then add in new mechanics in mythic zero now, When a Mythic Zero is as hard as it is!
I know “get gud”, well me and my groups barely made it into tens in DF, we were working on ELEVENS WHEN BLIZZ DECIDED TO MAKE A ZERO AS TOUGH AS A TEN! A TEN! Oh yea, we got back up to 8s then. But, i knew this expansion would be rough. But, man. I’ve done normal raids now, I’ve done a tier 10 delve and 40+ tier 8s. BUT, I HAVE NOT SEEN A KEYSTONE! My group didn’t even want to go up to 18s! 10 was a milestone! It mean quite a bit to us!

For myself and I’m sure a few others, I just don’t like using a timer as the main mechanic. I wonder if there’s more creative ways.

And it is, if people do mechanics and use their cooldowns.

The keyholders are very picky with what they take. The keyholders can just take 625-630s ilvl FDK/enh/sin rogue/frost mage/ret paladin to 10s

Why would you invite 619s when you can just invite 625-630s? 619s never get invited unless they are keyholders.

That’s odd cause I have no preoblems as a 268 dev evoker getting into 10s. Lets just say what you said is true though, what’s the problem? I don’t even bother applying to a group that hasn’t got a 2.6k plus io like myself.

My fix is just to move myth 1 rewards to 9, then you have portals at 10, then every level higher than that increases the level of your vault drops by 1.

E.G. doing an 11 gives you a myth 2 slot, a 12 gives myth 3, uo to 15 gives myth 6. Etc. This puts M+ rewards more on par with their raid equivalent. If you are pushing above 15 then your reward is title.

I’m 619 with a spread of dungeons from +2 on the lowest to +5 on the highest. And I, once again, have just had it with M+ yet another time.

There are three outcomes:

  1. The key is finished but time is missed
  2. The key is ruined by people leaving in the first half of the dungeon
  3. The key makes time (the key is +2)

Raiding used to be called herding cats but I have never seen as much ego and fighting as I have in M+. For the love of pete put gilded in T11 Delves so that I have a reason to do them and stop getting in the way of people who actually like this mode.

Just because top-end gear exists, it doesn’t mean you need to have it. You’re technically losing out on gear by not full clearing mythic raid each week too.

I have been…(searches for a neutral word) …pressured by my raid team to have better gear though I’m now at the point where without M+ only improvements will come from weekly vaults.

In between the last post and this one, I had another run that once again took nearly forever to fill, had two DPS who criticized the tank and each other, wiped on a boss, had one DC, and then everyone leave. This is a complete and utter waste of time.

Then don’t do the content.

If you were raiding CE, you would’ve been doing 10s on week 1, and now they will seem trivial.

And AOTC is free.
