You are 100% wrong. MMO progress/achievements is all related to other players. WoW with no players in it but you has no content. Even if you had your raid and no other players, its no content. This isnt Zelda or God of War. The game is the community and your spot relative to them.
No one will turn the buff off. You know it. I know it. We all know it. Progression stops the moment the nerf goes out.
Just going to add you to the ignore list since you obviously have nothing of value to contribute. The buff is coming, GET OVER IT.
Then don’t pretend it’s about the challenge or proving yourself or overcoming obstacles. That’s all nonsense. It’s just an epeen meter. And if everyone is still on the same playing field, you can still measure yourself against other players. Since apparently that’s all some people have.

The buff has been turned off countless times over the past decade plus on unofficial servers. You are the one that is wrong.
Okay that’s YOUR opinion on it. If you feel that way then turn the buff off. Stop campaigning to get a WotLK authentic feature removed or delayed because YOU don’t like it. The solution to your issue is to turn the buff off. 
So far my entire guild is exited for the buff. That’s about 30 people so far. An old guild I was in is excited for the buff. That’s another 25.
The buff can be turned off. “Just turn it off of heroic mode.” Normal mode champion baby! I do an easier raid + get to see COLOSSAL numbers because of this buff!
My guild is also looking forward to the buff. I’d wager the majority of the WotLK population will enjoy it, despite what the handful of gatekeepers want people to believe.
I ain’t campaigning and you can’t just make a decision for 24 other players (and obviously part of the fun of beating hardest content is getting the loot), it’s not the end of the world but people like you get personally offended by the completely normal opinion of ‘yeah the raid tier will be less fun if it’s LFR version.’ Go through my comments you will never see even 1 insult meanwhile every single reply is dripping with ego and sweaty hatred like calm down holy moly you don’t have to engage with the conversation if you’re upset! Or putting the raid on heroic. 1 person is deciding that even in a guild group. So if your guild is actually a guild and you all want to do it without the buff there is no reason why people wouldnt do it.
Well it’s easy to switch it to heroic because pushing yourself to beat the hardest content is kind of the point of raiding to a lot of people and it’s where you get the best loot, it’s harder to convince to turn off the buff because there is no benefit and it’s like your gimping yourself. I do think if you could get the best loot from normal mode not a lot of people would touch heroic or mythic in my mind it makes sense but clearly it doesn’t for other people I’ll leave it at that. I do see this every patch every time classic gets some difficulty we see the pleading for nerfs this time has precedence in actual wrath so it’s a lot more understandable, but still I get a lot of deja vu
