It’s far larger with smaller border. Otherwise, no, it’s just a circle with a map in it, I dunno what he’s going on about.
Maybe that’s it. Maybe I gotta find a casual raid team. Cause LFG simulator mythics and PVP are not it for me.
Hi! I might have the recommendation for you. There’s an addon called Sexy-Map, which you can actually customize to your personal interests! It also looks pretty good in game, and it’s functional w/ broker addons incase you use things like Bazooka. ^^ Hope this helps! It also retains the old feel of the map depending on the kind you use, and you can change shape, sizes, position, everything! My personal favorite for the longest time now has been the blue runic looking one, but it’s really customizable.
What’s this “LFG simulator” stuff you’re going on about? lol.
If you don’t like PUGs (I don’t blame you) then just Q up for heroics or something. Oh wait, they removed badges so Heroics give terrible rewards now.
I think I see the point you’re trying to make.
But thankfully, they got better rewards you can get out of solo world activities which is way better than “M+ or log out” that previous expansions did.
WoWs always best with friends / comrades. In an effort to make the game more single player / plug and play friendly, it’s also gotten a lot less personable because of the introduction of a path of least social resistance. That benefits some people but it also disappoints others. Finding a group of people you enjoy playing with and doing content you all feel rewarded for engaging with is a big part of making wow as fun as possible, especially if you’re not someone who wants to treat the game as a lone experience.
I will look into this cause I gotta get rid of this ugly map. I spent 4 hours yesterday redoing the UI to be stuck with that ugly map thank you so much.
I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out why it’s “ugly” … it’s literally a circle that displays a map inside of it. I mean, yeah, it’s lacking any sort of texture or personality, it’s just a circle and that’s it… but it’s functional? I kinda wish they’d let us resize it though, I don’t like it taking up so much area on the screen, esp when it cramps how much room I have to display quest info or bagspace.
I spent two hours trying to get into a +2 key just to be able to get my own key to post mythics. By the time I actually had got my key I had to work.
Yeah, the mythic system sucks. Everybody uses raider.io nowadays and they expect you to be awesome at the game before you’ve even played the game. It’s just stupid.
We need badges from heroics back, to give people a reason to run them. I hate manual matchmaking, I wanna just be able to Q up for my dungeon content.
But then, the playerbase ruined dungeons by wanting to skip all the trash by using janky terrain glitches anyhow.
Someone watched the latest Asmon gold clip, did they?
Please get over it. Like, the new UI is an improvement in pretty much every form, and the only reason it’s “not for you” is because you can’t let go of an objectively inferior iteration.
As opposed to, what? Heroics and raids in classic?
Classic map was simple and clean. I liked it a lot more and I can admit maybe that’s me not adapting to change but also let’s be reasonable the UI update has been out awhile I feel like I am allowed to show annoyance with it.
If the issue is getting a character to a comfortable starting point I’ve been helping out some newer players and by understanding how the various gearing paths work I’ve managed to get them to 415 average with a 437 weapon in less than a week without having to step into lfg. That’s a great start to be able to learn to play the game and enjoy content with like-minded people.
i heard that if you hold a flashlight under your chin and say his name 3 times in a mirror at 2am sharp, that you will instantly grow a thick matted neckbeard and start smelling like moldy sweat socks.
If you talk to the Pandaren by the portals in Valdrakken she’ll give you a key. Just tell her you’ve misplaced yours.
You could also have started and run an M0, which would drop a 2 key.
I will say that while I like the customizability of the new UI, I miss the stuff like the textures and borders around the buttons. It’s … plain and drab now. Thin little lines for the squares that hold the boxes that are all transparent, the removal of most of the borders and stuff around UI elements, the menu buttons turned monochrome…
They stripped all the personality out of the UI elements. The only thing they kept are the tiny beasts on either side of the hotbar buttons.
and yet you are still here posting and paying $15 for this amazing game . you are allowed to play something else
Oh! That must be a newer addition I wish I had known about that.
Probably because low-res textures were taking up a significant portion of the screen while achieving literally nothing.
It might have been thematic, but it also dated the game.
I play Classic every single day I have 60s two on each faction.
There is a quest to get a 415-437 track item a week from doing 5 heroic dungeons, and heroic items themselves do go up to 411 ilvl which is just a smidge below normal raid baseline. The badge system has largely been replaced by crests and crafting which do offer avenues to 430+ ilvl for players who don’t wish to engage with group finder.
WoWs queued content has always been designed to have a near guaranteed success rate. Harder content gives better rewards and is typically going to be incompatible with queues for that reason.
