I wish Disney bought Activision

That’s fine, but not what I was talking about. You’re free to hate or criticize any group of people you choose. :man_shrugging:

Sorry my mistake. Some of Mulan was shot around interment camps for “re-education”.

The story inflation would have been fine if added to the movie, and if they didn’t say they wanted a more realistic movie. There was no character growth, or emotional weight. She was born with great chi, excelled in training after she starts to use it, gets the witch on her side only because she too has strong chi.

The witch was the best character, and considering she said she could kill Bori Khan in the blink of an eye, I’d rather have seen her fight him to defend Mulan towards the climax then just fly into an arrow. Would have a much better end for her.

You can have strong characters that are one man armies like your bro Guan Yu, but they need something to actually make them interesting. Mulan failed that. The movie was lifeless.

I used to love Disney but lately I’m disappointed in the company ,I guess that’s just how the world is now.

No to Disney, they aren’t entirely honest.

C’mon people this one was obvious

I think complaining on the world of warcraft forums might also be considered neckbeard stuff.

Disney buying the rights to Star Wars didn’t improve SWotR, so you are living in fantasy land.

no no no no no no please no no NO no no no NO . no

This would have to be updated:

Walt Disney vs. Bobby Kotick.

It’s just a shame the sequel trilogy sucks.

It really does, the only good that came of it was Kylo Ren and Poe.

Everything else was a waste, the call backs were a waste and felt forced rather than natural. The combat pales in comparison to the prequels, the butchering of the canon and established characters (Luke and Leia) was atrocious.

The main character was pompous and annoying and the cohesion of the overall plot and its elements was 9th grade storytelling at its finest.

not to mention the 3rd movie that completely negated Anakin and his arc by ultimately not making anything permanent and lasting within the canon (emperor returns)

I mean really…I could go on that Disney “canon” is not any better than the fan fiction most rip on.

no just no. Disney is too big as it is. No more to disney

Lucas should have asked for 10 billion at least. With parks closed or limited i don’t think they’ll be buying anything soon with lack of revenue.

Why? so they could ruin WOW like they ruined STAR WARS?

INB4 Mickey Mouse cosmetic ears for purchasing the Disscon virtual ticket.

I am not sure we would be in any better a place honestly. I mean have you seen the mess they have made of the Star Wars movies over the last couple of years.

Oh yeah! Let’s all sing along happily, then have all of our parents die, then go running around singing some more then have a man save us even if we are a man because disney refuses to have heroines, then lets put on some dresses and kiss.

Has OP even seen what Disney has done to existing franchises recently?

You should get tested for covid

all the cool stories they ever told were 3 minute cartoons, and faerie tales that had hundreds of years of source material. all that is marketed towards children, which are the easiest market to please, and then when they grow up, they look back at their favorite disney films with rose tinted glasses.

disney has a pretty low bar set for itself, by design. they learned after the run of aladin, lion king, little mermaid, and beauty and the beast, that if they set the bar high, they will be expected to clear it every time, meanwhile they get the same ammount of revenue and praise if they just keep the bar low.

this is why, whenever they step foot outside of their wheelhouse, they churn out garbage like star wars. they are not used to having a high bar to clear, and they dont deal well with failure.

You’re looking at numbers that can EASILY be fudged. the fact of the matter is those 3 new movies are just divisive AF. I wouldn’t go on metacritic/rotten tomatoes to rate them but I think they’re awful. Yet my opinion (and probably a bunch of others) just hasn’t been tallied because of how little we think of them and couldn’t have been bothered to.
