I wish Disney bought Activision

Children movies that aren’t actually designed for anything but for children get good reviews too. They mean nothing. What we do know is that the new trilogy of SW movies have worse writing than the prequels, and stab a lot of the fans in the back.

Disney isn’t universally good at making good stories. They’re not Studio Ghibli.

So basically, unless you liked the movies, they’re not good movies, damn what the rest of the public say. Is that what you’re telling me? That only your opinion determines what a good movie is?

Because that’s what you’re implying, since you seem deadset on ignoring or dismissing every favourable review for movies you don’t like. And to what end? Just to paint Disney as some horrible company that makes bad movies? Give it a rest.

i mean, i know you’re a troll.

Well let’s see…

Given that Star Wars Episode 7 was nothing but a remake of Episode 4, Episode 8 being complete feminist fan-fiction, and Episode 9 went too far in the opposite direction trying too hard to prove that the main character wasn’t a Mary-Rue, well…

I don’t have high hopes from Disney.

Also everyone hates the real-life remakes of the movies from the 1990s.

No. There are plenty of well written, memorable movies I didn’t enjoy. It matters in terms of the writing - and the SW trilogy was lazily written with virtue signaling and the most ridiculous forced retcons and mary sues.

Disney has many misses, and a lot of fun movies without great stories, and that’s fine. But the new SW is just a fun movie and is forgettable, where it’s best not to dig too deeply and just enjoy the spectacle.

No… Just no. Because we both know what will happen…
World of Warcraft the musical with dance routines… No… Just… NO!

And yet you seem dead set on fighting me about a list of movies, all of which have favourable ratings or made bank in the box office, sometimes both, and the vast majority of them had good stories to go along with the spectacle.

Some folks will obviously not like it, but a lot of others will. For all the flak Rise of Skywalker got from critics, a lot of people still liked the movie and the story, because all those people screaming ‘plot hole’ weren’t really paying all that much attention.

Because if they had paid attention, they would have realized just how wrong they were with many of their accusations against the film.

Na, I dont need anymore leftist marxist trash shoved down my throat, thanks. Blizzard should buy Blizzard back from Activision.

It seems more realistic of Microsoft Buying Activation Blizzard than Disney. I do not think Sony would be interested since most Blizzard games are PC and mobile and all Activation have is Call of Duty.

Disney is more interested in Movies and TV shows, when they are involved with Video Games they commonly screw it up.

I think the hydra should have less heads

Have you seen what they did to Star Wars?? Disney is the LAST company I’d want to see get involved with WoW’s story.

Disney ruins their own stories, like how they cut out everything good about Mulan for the live action.

To be fair, if you’re making a live action retelling which is focused more on the real history of the region and the individual rather than the animated children’s adaptation, you can’t exactly include ghosts, a talking dragon and a lucky cricket. Although they do throw in some fantasy elements, which were common in tales of the period.

The live adaptation of the movie is based on the story of Hua Mulan, a female warrior of the northern and southern dynasties era of Chinese history (which occurred between the 4th and 6th century AD). The Ballad of Mulan was actually the first song written about her, and it was composed during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386–535 AD) and was compiled into an anthology of books by the Southern Chen Dynasty (557–589 AD).

Also to add they refuse to film in Georgia because they are pro life. A company that pushes iys films to children supports abortion and then rather go to a communist country who puts minorities into consentration camps and either brainwashes them or kills them and organ harvest them…i will never ever support anything disney ever again. Its a souless evil entity and its founder is rolling in his grave at what its become I’m sure.

That was their excuse but it didn’t work at all. Mostly because the didn’t hire a single Chinese person to help write the movie and be a consultant. It’s a very western interpretation.

Also the meaning is lost when you give her super powers and she doesn’t achieve anything through work because, hey, she’s special.

Im going to add one

*K-canon

Kennedy canon… made all the above canon redundant because it killed off many of the fans.

Not to mention the entire casino planet trip wasn’t needed and just seemed to say “capitalism bad” and admiral danger hair sacrificing herself… when the stupid ships have auto pilot or droids.

Clone Wars S7 and Mandalorian completely redeem them as far as I’m concerned.

If Disney bought out Activision, we’d be seeing a live-action version of…

…oh, right.

?? You do not need to have a Chinese individual on staff to write a movie based off of a Chinese historical lore. You just need a knowledge of the material (easily gained) and knowledge of the history/terrain/culture (also easily gained). Although to be fair, they did approach two notable Asian directors first (Ang Lee was the first pick, followed by Jiang Wen) although both directors had other commitments and could not pick up the film.

As for the ‘magic’ you should try reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms sometime. It is very common in Chinese literature of the time to portray figures as having magical powers or larger than life abilities, even though in reality, they had neither of these things and were just competent warriors and leaders.
