I wish Blizzard would communicate more with the community

Scaling around the Broken Shore patch.

Ion: “We would never scale mob health in the open world to players’ ilvls.”

People: “It looks like monsters’ health is scaling with ilvls.”

Ion: “No, they aren’t.”

People post videos of them taking off gear and watching monster health change in front of their eyes.

Ion: “Okay, yeah. They are.”

Got any sources for that?

My own eyes. If only you had been playing, back then.

Sure, he said there was a ripcord, then said it’s not possible. Then pulled it.

ticket queue is bugged I think and these forums make up a small percentage of players plus the devs are really hard headed so whatever.

You won’t be happy 'till you get the answer you want but I do think this team really needs to open up more and be more transparent and accepting because the wa y I’ve seen beta go and playing beta has me really concerned that they are just doing the same old.

I was playing back then and don’t remember anything of the sort. I recall some thing about mob scaling being implemented yes but nothing about ion denying its existence.

You know how they stop that?

Moderation.

Ban a few well known offenders, and things would get a lot more civil around here.

The reason the blues get “beat up” is because Blizzard’s been doing a bad job for a long time, and don’t seem to learn any lessons. There aren’t any “well known offenders” on the beta forums for example, but Blizzard’s getting beat up pretty bad there, because they’re screwing up a lot in Dragonflight.

They hear everything. The issue isn’t that. It’s that they don’t really care about what they are hearing.

Then they need to get tougher skin.

It’s their job to communicate with their customers.

If people act rude, give a warning. If they continue, ban them.

This isn’t hard. People act like jerks because they are allowed to.

Again. Pulling the Ripcord. That happened in this expansion.

Exactly. He said it wasn’t even possible.

And then it happened.

I feel like i’m being gaslit here because i remember him talking about the ripcord being unlocked covs. which they did.

Don’t worry you aren’t. Ion before the expansion launched said if there’s a need for a Ripcord (That being the Covenant system) it exists. He later then stated that pulling said ripcord wasn’t even possible. Only later to pull the ripcord.

He lied to pull people into the expansion, watched it blow up in his face and then did the thing they should’ve done before launch.

“Trust me, you’ll get flying back in the first patch, this is just a little experiment”

“Ok, you’re getting flying back in the second patch, totally trust me this time”

ima require sources on literally all of these. If you can’t provide them then kindly shove off. I’m getting more than a lil sick of people pushing false narratives because they have a hate obsession for a game they play every day.

People are also sick of stating facts, and then others demanding “PROVE IT!” instead of looking it up for themselves.

The rest of the people here are not going to spend however-long looking up stuff from years ago just because you want to be stubborn. Look it up yourself.

Exactly, i really don’t care enough about the situation to go digging up quotes and videos from Ion to prove something that everyone already knows, if someone doesn’t accept that Ion was dishonest about the whole flying thing in WoD, they’re being willfully ignorant.

Isn’t Ion also famous for the “We rather you didn’t play Demo locks.” as well at the time? Only for them to be one of the best specs right now.

Think that was back in WoD.

Or his “druids and priests, we hear you” regarding current Dragonflight class development.

I suggest a quick read of the last 2 weeks of the Druid thread on the beta forums, for anyone who wants a rude awakening.
