I am not going to waste my time flying around looking for rares. I am not going to waste my time looking for storms in the right area, or for chests that despawn when you land. I am not going to farm a currency just for a one hour buff that doesnt even show a treasure if somebody already reached it first.
This is NOT FUN. This entire patch has been for the birds.

To be fair, metas are supposed to be expansion long achievements. And they’re nice to have during lulls in content.
I won’t be finishing it only because I think the mount is comically ridiculous looking.

Just got my taivan tonight. He is much larger than I expected the good boy to be. His special is also an awoooo so he gets a favorite star in my collection.
While fellow guildies were getting AOTC and Keystone Hero through the patches, I was quietly doing open world content and LFR along the way. Had no idea a dog mount was on the horizon, I just did the achievements because that’s what’s fun to me in WoW.
If you’re grinding the meta to get the doggo now I wish you luck. And not in a sarcastic way. An authentic good luck. Taivan is dope.
I also never do the meta achievements, because I’m lazy and not super-interested in the mount rewards.
The only time I really did stuff was for unlocked allied races, and that was a while ago, not to mention, the requirements were removed.
I find it odd they’ll do stuff like this for mounts, but removed things like for allied races.
I think it’s strange new players can play an allied race that has its lore in an expansion they’ve never played.
Speaking about good boy mounts. Probably going to disappear for several days as FFXIV is finally doing their collab with FFXVI, one of the rewards is Torgal mount.
I’m working on the acheesements, but I’m holding the storm ones 'til later. Cuz I’m hoping they’ll fix the rotation, or reduce the storm requirements.

Well when you don’t play the expansion in the beginning stages, spend years on the forums saying “lul DF bad” of course you’d feel like that.
People tend to not start on hard achievements cause they procrastinate at the beginning.

I’m not doing any of that, either, but I’m closing in on the Taivan mount.
Are the storm achieves not retroactive? I know I did the various storms back when they were current. I know without a doubt that I did the Eons Fringe stuff too, but now need to do it again for that achievement… kinda not feeling like doing it all again tbh.
They’re retroactive.
The Storm achievements are the same as they were. They just put an actual reward to the meta achievement tied to them.
The Eon fringe achievement was a new addition with 10.2.6. It was the ONLY thing I needed for the doggo. Why they did not introduce that achievement back in 10.1.5 when Time rifts and those dailies were added idk.
Weird. I know for sure I did all the storms though. I’ve checked my druid, monk and pally and all of them show zero progress on the different types of storms. Hmm.
I’ll look closer tomorrow, I’m dead tired at the moment.
