pretty sure just posting that link counts as calling out players on the forums
Good thought. Anyways the list can be found on the CurseForge page through the source tab.
Whatever you say man. Pretty sure if you go through my entire history here, you’ll see I’m neither trolling or delusional. You can say I’m wrong and possibly be right…but attacking people trying to understand and ask questions because you’re feeling defensive and attacked yourself is a surefire way to just get your product ignored.
I figured you wouldn’t admit that you were wrong, but you refusing to comment on the proof shows it anyways. There are very few intelligent points people can come up with now, some of you are just desperate to slander the addon now, and it’s pretty funny.
Yeah…because he’s doing a bang up job so far lol. The game has issues, but they aren’t so small that a single guy on discord can fix it.
I don’t understand the proof and you’re not making it clear where the issue could be.
You say I’m not on this list…yet myself and other people here and said they seen bad reports against me. Calling us all delusional liars is flat out wrong on your part. FAR BETTER is for you to take this as an educational opportunity to explain your system and help work out what might have happened. This would not only show people how the thing works (without telling them to just go read through code themselves) but also show people you aren’t an egoistical tyrant dev whose more concerned with “winning” than collaborating.
I work with people everyday who aren’t technical folks. Part of my job is figuring out data and reports/processes and helping to bridge the knowledge and technical gap and then directly fix things or pass information off to other developers or 3rd parties to fix things. If I took your attitude and had the sheer audacity to tell people they are delusional and/or stupid, I’d be on my butt by the end of the week.
I’ve dealt with devs who think their own crap doesn’t stink and every line of code is perfect and questioning them on their code or decisions behind it is literal sacrilege and one common thing I’ve found in all those scenarios is those kinds of devs NEVER make it far or long in a company. No matter how irritating it is to explain yourself or how “obviously stupid” people are for not getting it…you always keep yourself humble and respectful because you don’t have a job without them.
I have no idea how much time you’ve spent on this addon, but you 100% need the community to make it flourish and work. I commend you for at least trying to come up with something to try and bring light to toxic behaviors, but you are certainly destined for a dead addon and a total waste of time if you aren’t willing to come off your high horse and communicate openly with both your allies and opponents (at least the ones willing to stay and be civil).
How can you not understand the proof? The list is there and publicly available, along with every version of it. You never made the list and one of the reasons mentioned were actually about another player. Sounds like they are sending you screenshots of the list but swapping other names for yours.
Since somehow you see the reports made, send a screenshot of it! Blur the names if you have to. If it’s the list you’re seeing, go check it out for yourself!
While I will never agree that your add-on is good for the community or game in general.
I will say that I appreciate your participation in this conversation and your consideration for the feedback that you received.
So regardless of how I feel about the overall situation, you have convinced me that you have the best intentions with your efforts.
So if Blizzard does let your add-on stay operational, I wish you the best of luck.
Like, wow. People should be punished severely and perpetually for calling an ambulance after their grandmother fell down the stairs and hurt herself, because saving the life of a family member is wrong when it’s your key they are leaving.
You have priority problems.
I’m not believing this, given what you said above it.
Me want cookies.
Gimme.
Here are the cookies sorry it took awhile
Amazing how people still find ways to make this game more unpleasant, as if the devs weren’t already doing a good job about it.
The game is becoming more and more discredited and now players are creating something even more toxic, and it is just something that any imbecile without criteria can use to chase a foe.
I might add some guys on my server who I have screenshots of making antisemitic remarks to the list because they said some legitimately gross things.
Did you report them using the in-game systems? And if so, were they silenced/temp banned?
Yes. They were reported. But one report isn’t enough to make anything happen. It takes like ten people reporting to get something done.
When I read that, then I knew to read your post with a British accent in my mind.
can you elaborate on this? how are you programmatically checking to see if an image has been altered or not?
You haven’t updated the list in a couple days…everything ok?
I wonder if its possible to make a macro to report everyone you encounter. If they get thousands of garbage negative reports will it overwhelm their ability to counter? If enough people do that it will likely become just another entry in the garbage can or wow.
