New “blacklist” was just published. Surprised none of us made the official list.
Some of the new examples:
“Excessive Toxicity”
“Acting like a *(person that is overly friendly with children) in trade chat”
“Excessive Toxicity for no good reason”
*(Had to describe the word that was actually used because of the chat filter)
The trade chat one is a great example. Is it bad, maybe (we have no context)…but now that player is labeled as undesirable for something not even dungeon related

And already this addon is starting to spread like a bad rash, with other versions being made now. Everyone here that’s for it or promises the developers care, will be singing a different tune the moment they find out their name is listed.
I didn’t say the devs care LMAO.
I just said your only hail mary to resolve this issue is to contact the devs. GMs are powerless to stop this.

It’s creepy how many folks on these forums do, though.

Hey, wait a second….is this your alter-ego?! Are you my troll friend in gnomish disguise?
Yeah, not coming back for retail. Trying to relive my BC experience…so back to gnome!

they allow the addon that automatically scans players nearby and does a /spit on they if any boosted gear is found.
being rude is allowed, short of actually doing a death threat just about anything is allowed. highly unlikely GMs actually read these forums and thus initiate a change. player feedback for alphas and betas went unchecked. ** or if it was read, it was ignored ** basically same thing.
Yeah, they should look at that addon if that is just some of the example you have there ,which would can projecting falsehoods.
Lol everything is labeled as toxic, but they still refuse to define what constitutes as such when asked directly.
No need to be a 5 cent lawyer… it’s quite obvious what is toxic and if there’s any doubt then good chance it isnt toxic… blatant insults are a clear case of toxicity…
Look at you dodging the question again. As a developer who is passing judgment, you should be able to give clear definitions of what counts as toxicity along with other actionable causes that are deemed ban worthy. The current term is a catch all and is 100% subjective and depends on who is the receiving end of an action or comment. I find your scapegoating toxic.
Ok so we are in agreement that you are toxic with your own words. Got it.

This is a video game, not a court of law… Your question was answered. If the toxicity isn’t obvious then it can be argued as not being toxic. We’re all human and can come to a general consensus on what is obvious toxicity… Theres no need to be a 5 cent lawyer for a video game and come up with a 500 page document defining toxicity…
So you don’t think blatant insults are toxic?
This one is a simple yes or no question…
The question was not answered no matter how you try to squeeze out of it.
If you have been around the forums or in game at all, you know very well that the community has very different definitions of terms.

But your addon is trying to act like a court of law and giving players a permanent record
Now someone is permanently labelled because somebody didn’t like what they said in trade chat. Something that probably wasn’t even enough to get them banned
How can you say your addon isn’t toxic?

So are you saying you would like to play with someone making adulterous comments about children (you know the word)? Don’t even try to defend someone like that because that is absolutely disgusting.
I don’t have to defend them.
I have to wonder what makes you think you are qualified to be the judge and jury on the subject?
Now we are given a random report with no context because you say it’s an offense everyone should know about
Way to go to the extreme. There are some things that most would agree is toxic, but there is a huge, huge, gray area that is very subjective.
Also the fact that trade chat got someone banned for M+ is ridiculous.
