I was wrong. NO RDF makes the game significantly worse for leveling

“gray areas” and nuance are usually just completely lost on people like this…

Just ignore the ant-RDF crowd, most of them are trolls anyway.

Which server?

Interesting. I guess you’re probably a lot further ahead than I am then, because I’m pretty much just spamming dungeons.

I’m finding that I’m meeting people that I have run with before and that gives us a shared social experience, which may blossom into long lasting friendship, should both parties choose to nurture it. :sunflower:

I’ll never understand why blizz would want to change ANYTHING in their most popular expansion BY FAR…

If this is the character you’re leveling, it’s so much easier for Horde until about level 40ish when you start running Ulda and ZF

Yep you nailed it. Amd it destroys the entire argument against rdf. They claim its all abkut the experience. Players have a better experience if they have to travel 20 minutes. This fails when the alternative becomes no experience at all because nobody is interested in wasting that kind of time on old content. Ecspecially those of us that have done it already a thousand times.

We would love to group up and play together while leveling, but not if it takes an entire evening to form, travel, and complete. Just let us play.

Basically just massive hubris that’s not backed up by talent.

It’s actually amazing how toxic the anti-lfd posters are in this thread. It seems to always work out that way…almost like the two things are linked.

Yeah, it is.

Yeah, don’t have to flag for SM.

There are things they could improve on, and even did throughout the course of the expansion (RDF being one of those improvements.) I think difficulty is certainly something they should look at because it’s a lot less exciting to have a bunch of new abilities when everything dies before you can use them much…

I was firmly in the “lets give Blizz a chance and wait and see” camp… But particularly for leveling, with the implementation they gave us, the experience is just dramatically worse without RDF.

On Bene right now there is literally 1 other player listed for Deadmines. ON BENE. DURING PRE-PATCH. So even aside from all the other issues with getting to the dungeons etc… how am I supposed to find these groups? Do I sit outside the instance and /yell?

If I can’t find a group for deadmines ON BENE during prepatch… I can’t imagine what it’s like for everyone else not on Fresh servers.

another thing to note is that RDF also allowed low level players to learn how to (hopefully) play their role in dungeons. this imo is a good thing, makes them better prepared once they hit cap.

ie. back in the day i learned to heal on my priest and tank on my DK while leveling in RDF.

without it, the odds of doing dungeons while leveling 1-60 is extremely low if not impossible since some of the travel times to them is 30+ minutes to get there.

If they had left everything as it was in the patch of wow we’re playing, nobody would have issues now.

With RFD you could probably level 1-60 pretty efficiently as a tank just due to the instant-queues. If I can’t find a group as an alliance on Bene it’s probably just straight impossible on other servers. Which makes it pretty much impossible to level as a pure PVE spec (healer/tank.)

I’d be ok with a modified RDF, for let’s say, non-current material.

It’d be nice to queue for levelling dungeons when you get a dungeon quest and not have to spam LFG chat.

Yeah, I also refuse to read anything that long lmao

I added a TLDR just for kids like you! Trying to be more accessible every day

With that punctuation I honestly can’t tell which side of the argument you’re on.

Its time to eat Grandma. Punctuation saves lives etc

No, RDF, makes the game significantly worst, regardless of leveling or not. RDF is all up side, zero down.

If they conduct themselves half as obnoxiously in game as they do on the forums it’s not surprising why they don’t want people to have options to avoid them in dungeons.

Right which is normal dungeons. Let heroics and raids be left to analog grouping.

It’s not just SM. Horde tends to level in Ashenvale for BFD. RFK and RFD are in the Barrens. Horde even gets a port into Gnomer.
