Hate to say it but no, they really aren’t.
I made an alliance hunter yesterday and am doing just fine leveling it in BGS through the 20-29 brackets and now the 30-39 brackets. I do almost as good as xp off hunters and have had some great games and some losses. I would post on it but I guess the character is still too new, can’t find it on here.
It is more about class, enchants, experience, and gear, that make the difference. I am not using full enchants, just heirlooms enchanted and it wasn’t that expensive. Also not missing any gear is important, I see many players that have been playing a long time due to their achieves or title and they are missing a ring or 2 and some other non heirloom piece, its not too hard to get cheap greens from ah or dungeons or crafted to fill all slots. I spent less than 4k on the character so far and most things I spent it on will be good throughout leveling.
Luckily the majority of people here including twinks want separation. Only 2 legit posters are opposed to it. Such a win/win for everyone.
Oh really, who would they be?
Nice of you to spread more misinformation.
You seem to be extremely confused.
Im not sure why twinks are in the same queue as noobs… how are people supposed to get into the game when low level questing is awful and pvp is just some dude with 1000 hours played on his druid 1 shots you.
According to the 2 raging supporters, that’s their own problem. They have access to the same auction house. If they don’t have the sum required to buy the necessary gear, that’s their problem. They have access to all the same raids. If they don’t have anyone to run them through, again, their problem.
This game is so unfriendly to completely new players
im not talking about runescape or final fantasy switch-overs
I mean like someone who has never touched a video game before besides maybe call of duty or hockey nhl online.
how the heck are they supposed to learn WoW ?
Dungeon and Quest gear.
Again, according to the 2 raging supporters, that’s their problem.
Toss a kid in the lake and row away from them. They have access to the same arms and legs everyone else does.
The tomfoolery of the supporters aside, you’re not wrong. A guy (I’ll pick a random name… WIllyjr) finishes playing a game and trots off to Gamestop for something new. Willyjr picks up WoW and thinks “hmmm, this sounds cool, I’ll try it!” Without doing out-of-the-box 3rd part research, they’re the kid in the lake.
Please pay attention to what Funkflex was saying. Thank you and have a great day!
When was it ever friendly to new players?
It might be the best it has ever been for new players to start their adventurers.
There has never been this many options for new players to build on.
BFA scaling gear and all.
I just don’t think its right for someone with no knowledge of exploits and looting gear that they shouldn’t have on a low level character to get 1 shot by a BFA rare elite drop.
Wrath was the most friendly to new players that it ever was. Everything was the most easily accessible. Plus you had your very own brackets all to yourselves. Remember that? Twink paradise.
Again, using the fallible logic of the supporters… “that’s their problem.” Nice, isn’t it? It’s like a universal reply.
I am not sure what you mean by this, Elite drop?
It probably got fixed by now, but twinks had access to a bfa piece of gear, which of course was way more stats than a level 29 or 39 would have.
Sometimes, when you kill monsters, they have loot on them. That’s what “drops” are. Websites like WoWhead can show the various “drops” that monsters have.
Rare monsters can even have rare, strong drops. These monsters are signified with a silver dragon around their portrait.
The more you know!
the 180 pieces were fixed so they no longer drop for the lower levels. If there are any players that are using the gear, this is a reportable offense and they will be stripped of it.
Everyone did, and vacations were handed out for those actions.
Still, new players shouldn’t have to deal with dudes who look for these exploits and enchants and enhancements that give their character level 60 + damage on a level 29.
And they don’t have to as its a reportable offense
