I was anti RDF until I tried this new LFG system

You can still CHOOSE what/who is in your group even if LFD exists.

Or, better yet, if you are creating your own group, you should also be able to pick who you bring along with you.

I’ve tanked on 3-4 characters in Classic and TBC. They can put in the old RDF if they want. I would never use it. Even with a premade group. I doubt I’ll use this new one either. It’s too easy to join a guild, make friends or find groups using discords. I’ve never done a pug group with people I didnt already know.

Ahh the life of being a tank. Must be nice

Yea, if the system stays in for release, I’ll be rolling a paladin tank as a main. Which is annoying cause I played DPS for wrath in 2008 and I really want to relive that experience

That method of feeding DPS into groups sounds like it could be automated.

As a healer, I don’t care what DPS we get, I only care about getting a tank, ANY tank, good, bad, or whatever and getting on to doing the content.

I’ll say hi and be pleasant, but once you’re guilded, you’re not exactly out there dating, you just want to Tinder the dungeons.

Go DK, then you can tank to your DPS gear and not have to be boring Ret pally as your OS.

The sad truth in this post right here.

Well, the old one won’t help you getting into raids, will it?

It’s not only for dungeons.

I have to agree after seeing the new tool in use by a larger amount of people that it’s kind of awful. Everyone just ticks all Heroics and reverts to chat spam. I have had very fast DPS invites upon listing but I think it’s because I was on a Shaman and people want totems/lust. People also don’t really care about loot comp because we’re already in full Heroic gear, there won’t be 3 DKs running dungeons together when it’s Live.

I think even the Retail tool would be a better alternative, at least it has a cleaner UI and is a lot easier to sort through.

I stopped playing beta because I hate the new system.

I’d prefer a toggle to say “Never expand to cross realm” which is turned on upon login, and you choose to turn it off each and every session, but if they insist on the time limit, no shorter than 30 minutes “on server”.

Such a shame they will make the game worse just so months / patches later they can put it in and people will sing of them as heroes that listen. Why can they not listen when it matters. Like now.

If its a coding or logistics issue say it. If its because you want to add it in when it was added during wotlk then say it. Don’t lay it on me that 5 man runs are the heart and soul of the community social experience. Its just insanely disingenuous.

The community has been dead for some time…and players killed it.

Their self hate and hatred for each other drove the game to a cold, transactional, exercise in self-interest (paid for my time, etc.)

Pockets resist it, but terrible, defeated, and lazy people make for a terrible game community…so here we are.

WotlK sweats like that they can cherry pick

at least ive got a guaranteed raid spot going into wrath so as a DPS sure dungeons would help, but im in almost full sunwell gear so i can just skip dungeons and heroics and go into nax and get gear and badges that way.

The new system is, unfortunately, an embarrassment. They’re trying to reinvent the wheel. Just give us RDF back.

I can’t wait to tank my way to 80 with the LFG tool. It’s going to be a blast!

Well, if you were there to test your level of enjoyment and not the game itself, you already didn’t belong.
