I Wanted to Hate Dragonriding

But I don’t. I’m actually a big fan.

you will, give it time.

I wanted to like it, it looks like so much fun. But I hate it and want regular flight back. Dragon riding gives me a huge headache so if I use it to much my head is killing me.

Love it!
Hope they make it usable in every expansion.

Dragonriding is still one of the best moves Blizzard has made in a long long time. They should further expand upon it in future games. Perhaps there will be a way to turn our older mounts into dragonriding mounts.

The roadmap they put out was very helpful. But if those heritage armors look worse then the Warfront sets expect a letter of disappointment.

I could learn to like it if:

  • You could go slower without falling downward like you can with regular flight. Sometimes I WANT to go no faster than 310% because I can see more and explore.
  • Brakes.

At this point I’d even settle for a ‘turn off Vigor but go no faster than 280%’ feature. Even if it comes later in the expansion. I know better than to expect it now because it’s too soon.

It got much better when I maxed out the stuff to help with flying. Now I wish there was an option for Druid flight form to fly like dragonriding.

Dragonriding makes visiting the old world a painful experience. I may skip the next expansion if they don’t make Dragonriding the standard for flight moving forward.

it has more positives then negatives but i do have frustrations with it, i do think the Vigor regen system is pretty poor when on the ground, and i also don’t like the fact you actually never fly, the only option is gliding / falling with style but yet every dragon including whelps can fly all day  kind of hope flight gets integrated into it down the road to accommodate actual flight in the expansion like they usually do later in the game, then normal mounts can also be used if you want to just fly.

this expansion is proving me wrong and im very happy that that is the case it’s fun it’s good and it’s worth the time i hope they keep the pace with it tho and it does not excuse sl or the past couple of years but it is a good start to a redemption

I like it, but don’t care for the races. The dragonriding itself, I’ve been enjoying. Though the vigor regen etc if I don’t fly accordingly to recharge gets annoying.

That’s a good point. We should be able to at least hover when we aren’t moving instead of falling.

Me too, D riding is awesome… I love it and I love soar (in the old world) on my Dracthyr.

I hate it enough for both of us.

I love dragonriding - and I certainly prefer it to old school flying - but hope they continue both flight systems into future content. I think they both have their time and place depending on the situation, the person, etc.

well I hate dragon riding. The mechanics makes me sick. Hard to soar on a dragon when you are puking in a trash can. Only reason I completed the questline is because someone saw me struggling and carried me through the final quest. Now I just use my 4 vigor and glide without the mechanics so no diving and no speed which works good enough for me to use. But I still hate it.
