If Blizzard said that medium population servers are actually much bigger than the largest Vanilla servers then why are there no low population servers to allow for a more authentic experience?
There are literally no low population servers anymore for US EAST or WEST whether PvP or otherwise. They simply don’t exist.
What if people want to play on a low population server? We can’t even have ONE?

Ohhh but “no one wants that”… Meanwhile… in reality, countless of us have asked for exactly that. Yet they continue to have selective hearing. “Only certain subs matter” is the message we’re getting (again).
Just looked on the realm selection screen. In other news I just cancelled my sub.
If they want my money they will create more servers and even go as far as capping them at 3k.
The medium reflects combined horde and alliance populations. In general if you roll on a medium pve server horde side will be low on medium pvp alliance will be low pop. By low population I mean somewhere between 3 to 5 k total accounts.
And in a few weeks all servers will revert down one level once everyone has done zg and start to work again. My server was always medium but says high now due to corona and zg release.
I’d prefer without layering. I like player choice with regards to population, personally, but I don’t think that my preferences should be forced on others.
It seems to me like it would be quite possible to have somewhat different population rules for some different servers, as we already see different rules with Normal and PVP realms.
Players said that. Players repeated that over and over. Blizzard never said that. In my opinion, it is not true.
It’s hard to find accurate numbers, but it looks like there is a 6-to-1 ratio in Classic between high-pop and low-pop servers. I don’t believe that those low-pop servers are still “much higher than Vanilla”.
Recently (in the long blue post) Blizzard said the Classic CAP is higher than the Vanilla CAP. But a CAP is 1 number for all servers – it is not the population of any server.
Players take that statement out of context. They said that before Classic even launched, the statement is also long outdated. If you want a Low pop server, Arcanite Reaper will satisfy your desire.
