Can you spread out your gold amongst us all?
Mistweaver you mean? Super easy back then.
MW and Disc priest (my two characters in MoP) were such crazy no-brain specs in MoP. They were fun, but you never had to actually heal anyone to keep a raid alive. Passives did all the work.
You likely just got better as a player. That happens when you play something for over a decade.
I haven’t tried MW this expansion, but all of your issues with the modern iteration were literally how it played back then, with the exception being Mana tea. TBH I don’t even remember how that ability worked in MoP because I never felt like I needed mana back then, but I remember seeing (2) and pressing a button with no channel. I could be mistaking it for a later iteration.
In late BFA and Shadowlands I got big into D&D, myself. Played it casually before, but it became more of a focus than online gaming when I recognized I no longer enjoyed this game. I’ve taken breaks many times since 2005, but that was the biggest change.
Now I do that instead of raid nights.
So to me it sounds like a class you loved and we’re proud of your achievements with changed to the point you don’t recognize it.
I feel for that I really do.
The only helpful suggestion I have is look at WoWhead look at all the class rotations see if there’s anything that looks complicated enough to fill the void. Look for “Weak Auras” is mandatory and say screw that and master it without WA.
As for challenging content, I don’t know what to suggest because all the harder levels of things are locked ATM. Though I have high hopes for delves at high levels.
But if like nothing still does it for you all I can suggest is Classic or maybe Season Of Discovery?
I’m actually trying out my fire mage rn, only level 72, but it’s actually enjoyable. I thought the changes on the TWW PBE were goinna neuter the class and make it super slow, but they actually made it even more RNG heavy and fun to play, so we’ll see if it’s still fun by the time I get to 80.
Fingers crossed.
I’m happy you were able to find something you vibe with. Falling out of love with something you enjoy is tough to deal with, especially when it’s been a significant presence in your life for a long time. WoW’s been here since my first kid was born and through my entire 15 years of marriage, lol.
It was my way to “date” my wife when we had little children.
I was a monk/priest main since MoP, always playing those two with some alts for professions, always choosing to heal when I could. Now I’m a blood DK playing bodyguard for my wife’s hunters in the plethora of world content, follower dungeons, and delves. If my friends ever come back to the game, I’ll probably move onto harder content, but I found peace here.
I’ve always played healer, but lately healing just isn’t as fun as it used to be. They homogenized the role so much, it kinda lost its flavor.
Maybe since I’m enjoying my fire mage, I should give DPS a try.
When in doubt, if the thing you’re doing isn’t working for you anymore, try something new.
I remember one of the old crew who was that guy who is always on, day or night, vanishing for about a week with no word. People thought he quit or something. When he finally came back, he said yhat he had done a 3-4 day session without sleeping, eating, showering, or using the bathroom. He was found unconcious and he had been in the hospital. Had to tame his playtime a bit after that.
Another guy in our guild booked his vacation for the TBC launch. His wife left him when she found out. They worked it out that she would stay if he quit wow. She let him him come on and say his goodbyes to friends and guildies, then that was it. Damn good shadowpriest, too.
Any ce, m+ titles, or rank 1 pvp titles to share from the last 4 expansions?
So they threw a big tantrum for nothing before even trying all the classes and they think they’re a “gamer”
That’s awesome! I’m glad you’re exploring other classes! Fire Mage is super Proc-y along with Enhancement Shaman!
Hey man he vented. We’ve all been there. No need to be condescending and mean. He’s still figuring out if maybe DPS will fill that void.
They are complaining that the game is brain dead easy with no indication if they have done anything other than questing since mop.
WoW started going down hill since Activision merged with Blizzard.
I absolutely loved tyranny. Still have not got the neutral ending. The combat was a bit boring but the magic system had potential. The story is top notch
Play without addons then. Wow is just as hard as it always was, just people rely on addons too much which trivializes everything. Uninstall dbm, and WA, and any other mod you use and youve got a more difficult game than what youre currently complaining about.
Did you just say WoW is too… easy?
Wew, now I know you’re playing a different game.
So you actually think that all WoW players who are unhappy with the game are unhappy for the same reasons. And REMARKABLY those reasons are the exact ones you yourself are expressing!
Your supernatural insights into thousands of people you don’t know are remarkable. The CIA is on line one and Hollywood is on line two and the phones are jammed. Everyone wants to avail themselves of your uncanny wisdom.
Pray tell us, o genius guru, how do you know what all the rest of us are thinking?
Have you tried having fun?
You can absolutely “figure it out” without name-calling and insults. Go back and re-read this guy’s comments. He’s not a nice person.
