None of those games last though. DRG is supposed to, but after ~80 hours I just had nothing to do.
ReM on CD > Stomp on CD > Sun on CD > Alternate Tiger / Blackout
That’s it. Outside of the free Vivify every 20 seconds, or popping cooldowns in emergencies, there’s literally nothing else. And this can heal everything. M+, raids, etc.
Its never going to happen. New bands that inspire us like they did when we were young. Politicians never grab us like they did when we were idealisitic. And video games arent magical utopian paradise that remove us from thr world.
Its over, my friend. We’re old. Jaded. You see through the illusions, and the animatronics dont look as fun as they used to.
We’ll all be dirt in the ground, soon. Best to try and enjoy yourself whenever you can.
No other way you’d go and spout brain rot like “WoW is in a good state” unless your brain is not firing on all cylinders anymore – I mean he could be trolling, that’s an option.
No, it definitely is in a good place. I’m having a great time with TWW. It has made me quite happy. The story and characters are cool and interesting, class design is in a great spot for the first time in like ten years, delves mean I can actually gear up without needing to queue into a group, and pretty soon Dracthyr will be getting more class options.
I haven’t been this pleased by the direction of the game since pre-Legion.
Extremely short campaign, excessive pandering, overly edgy, content is time gated for 4 weeks, classes are beyond braindead, content is beyond braindead.
The part where all of that besides the timegating (which is standard for an expansion start) is nonsense.
But you didn’t come here for discussion, you came here to complain. And have admitted that you barely play the game anyways. You were never going to be happy with it because that’s not what you want.
I don’t even have an 80 yet, am just now half way through 79 and I keep walking away from the game, totally forgetting about it and coming back to the main login screen.
I didn’t like BFA, but the story never bored me, the story was great, the systems were bad.
SL I outright quit, but not because of the story, because of the systems.
DF the story was so watered down and sickly sweet I just didn’t pay attention too it, because the gameplay was fun and wasn’t a huge issue when I got back.
TWW I just can’t seem to force myself through it without being so bored I just walk away.
Half of you are going to cry burn out, the other half will tell me go play something else…
and that’s fine, but you get to a point where the writing just can’t carry this game anymore and I feel like a fool for paying for it.
I’m sure it’ll get better after 80 and the story becomes non-existant but getting there… this has been the hardest main story quest line to sit through of any incarnation of WoW, and it’s not just one thing in particular, it’s just… not a single part of the campaign has made me feel ooooh wow, or hey that’s neat! or Awww insert poor NPC name here that I feel attachment too, just… nothing.
What do you even mean by this? Are we about to get hit with a stealth “Faerin Bad!!” Topic in here? Has that been the endgame all along? That’s wild, if true.
Not for nothing, dude, but WoW has never been particularly difficult to play. Even the most complicated specs in the game’s history can be more or less trivialized by addons and timers.
I’m not sure that a “good” version of WoW has ever existed, by your apparent standards.
You really do seem like you’re just bitter and angry at the world, so you’re lashing out and insulting people because those people (including me) are having fun and enjoying the game.
This is a silly thing to say. I’ve personally been playing since the day vanilla launched in 2004. I also think the game is in a good state right now, and it’s better than it has been in a long time.
Dragonflight was a huge improvement over BfA and Shadowlands, and TWW is shaping up to be an improvement over DF as well.
WoW has not been in a good state for quite a few expansions now and it seems to keep going in this awful direction. I understand though, I am not the target audience. I stopped doing heroic raiding in BfA and m+ back in early SL I don’t enjoy that content while pugging and I don’t like the mentality of wow players in general these days. It feels like for some reason it gets worse and worse every expansion.
As for the content in TWW it’s very barebones, I don’t mind delves and that’s about the only content I see that’s “new” in the expansion. The maps feels small, the campaign was really short and beside that it’s pretty much like DF. We have the same content as before ie world quests to keep players occupied while not doing other activities. Everything however feels so underwhelming especially for an expansion! This is more like one of those mini-expansions in lotro.
I started playing the day the servers turned on, buddy.
As for standards… agree to disagree there, but I’m paying for a game I enjoy playing and you’re, well, doing what you’re doing here - so who’s the loser?
Breaks are healthy and normal. If you had as much fun and love for the game as you say, it should be a very welcoming return in 6-18 months; Tons of new stuff will be here waiting for you.
