When I think Demon Hunter I think Illidan in full flight cast against the full moon in the Burning Crusade trailer. It’s iconic. Huge part of the class fantasy. You ever see Devilman? Pure DH vibes all throughout and the main guy can barely keep his feet on the ground!
I seem to recall a blue post saying that DH wings are just mutations and we’re only meant to have limited use of them like a chicken, but that just sounds like a poor excuse. Not only does Illidan make DH flight canon but mutant chicken DH is absolutely not class fantasy.
We want flight form! Worgen get their free running form, why shouldn’t we have free flying? If not for Shadowlands then at least a future expansion! Who of my DH brethren feeling me on this?

i’ve always wanted to be able to use DH wings as a flying mount, even if it has a cast and you cant gather herbs and stuff like other mounts it would be such a cool class feature

I was so disappointed when we didn’t get a DH flight form in Legion. It was such a missed opportunity to give a different class a travel form so druids could stop hogging them all!
Illidan flies during the Fallen Avatar fight in Tomb of Sargeras, and he flies in Cathedral of Eternal Night dungeon as well. The animation is in the game. I’m sad we never got it as players.

*Edit: If a priest is in your group and uses Levitate on you while you’re in Metamorphosis, your wings flap. It is such a tease.

Your class literally has everything.
You sucked demo warlocks dry.
You took a double-jump mechanic which could have been game wide and used for cool platforming mechanics.
You took Warglaives.
You have stealth vision.
You can glide.
Half your offensive spells double up as defensive spells.
Half your defensive spells double up as offensive spells.
Half your AOE spells also do strong ST damage.
Half your ST spells somehow do AOE damage.
Maybe you don’t need to also fly.

you shoved a demon inside of your soul and clawed out your own eyes being a chicken is your punishment. perhaps if you did a bit more research instead of being the primitive cannon fodder you demon hunters are you wouldn’t be dim wits stuck on the ground.

Thank goodness, DH didn’t get this with all the mess you DH’s did with your zipping in dungeons this would be more of a problem. If you ever get it then everyone else should get an added ability.

If DH flying followed the same rules as flying mounts then there’s no difference between it and any flying mount.
It’s fine to not want it “just cause” though as that’s your right

See it doesn’t even have to be equivalent with Druids and their flight form, just something modest like Worgen free-running. That said though, it would be pretty cool to see a demon hunter flapping in place while swinging a pickaxe around.
Oh I knew there’d be haters in the midst! We don’t have “literally everything” because we don’t have flight form! What are you doing in the DH forums with this kind of salt anyway? Just waiting to jump in a thread to accuse us of sucking demo warlocks dry? I have never once sucked a demo warlock, completely baseless smear!
Last I saw the Illidari were responsible for using the Sargerite Keystone to open a portal to Argus and give you hunters a bunch of rainbow coloured alien cats to tame. How’s that for research? Perhaps we can get flight form as a thank you.

If anything I should be thanking the Legion not you.
To be fair, DH took stuff from locks when they arrived on the scene so they have reason for bad blood. Also, if anyone should have demonic flight form, it should be warlocks with the T6 wing animation thingy.

DHs get flight ‘mount’ form.
Warlocks get glide and double jump with T6 & remakes.
Warlocks get to use ‘subjugate demon’ on DHs.

I always wondered why DH’s didn’t use their wings as a mount just like Worgen can run on all fours.

what were people expecting when blizzard stole and removed not just copy and pasted mind you, pasted abilities over to a new class and removed the old ones from classes that have been in the game for over a decade. that was bound to harbor hostility.

Yes, but it can be worded differently. It all seems like a horrible attack on the OP. they might not even have been around when that happened to know.
I only joined at the end of legion. Very much enjoyed Demo Lock, blissfully unaware.
The change is on the devs, not the demonhunter players.

It would literally just function as a mount lol.
Nobody is asking for DH’s to just be able to fly around and use all their abilities.
A lot of people on here just hate DH it seems like. Sorry guys but the class isn’t going anywhere
