I want these 4 SL races to be playable too, blizz can write stuff into the lore to let them leave the SL. They change the lore all the time, remember the blood elf darker skin tone fuss about “lore”, no one cares about that now. Our SL mounts (creatures from the shadowlands) can leave the SL so why can’t the humanoid beings there leave too. Just look at the Blanche mount, a horse that died and we can now take his spirit back with us to the living world and ride him forever.
I’ve always got space for a fellow hunter!
/thinks for a moment
- Leftover roast with potatoes
- Various cheeses from around Azeroth
- Pitcher of iced coffee
- Soda
- Flavored seltzer water
- Whatever my my polar bear, Hroth, grabs at the grocer (I swear one day that bill is gonna give me a heart attack)
Some of the covenant races are already equipped to wear player gear, like the sylvar. Making those a playable race would be relatively quick.
Not when vampires have already been defined in game with Kirtinos, Blood queen Lanythel, and the Sanlayn. Cite reference where
I think this is borderline head canon.
Venthyr are not vampires regardless of what some may want to call them. Sanlayn are vampires. Venthyr are not.
*Moose antlers
Two things.
There is no conceivable way lore wise to explain why anyone from the Shadowlands. Kyrians, Vampyr or Maldraxxi would get involved in the dumb conflict between the Horde and Alliance.
And secondly, Kyrians would just be another lazy knockoffs. They are literally blue humans with wings. I know you didn’t say them specifically, but still.
Wow, so exciting. We have four elves, now we need three types of humans?
If they make new races they need to make the same number of new classes. It just so happens if you use panda’s twice 1 for Horde and Alliance you can have 1 of every class in the game for both factions and it lines up with the number of races perfectly. This is how I have my alts set up and adding new races it will break this and damage my OCD brain,
So please don’t make 1 without the other. Thanks
They look like humans only much better than the ingame humans we have now. Kind of like how blood elves are cooler looking humans but just with long ears. And if they add the Kyrian with the wings the yuse to fly with and not those bad tea towel wings (cloak transmog) then it’s my dream mmo race. I’ve always wanted to play a humanoid that can fly with wings on it’s back. The demon hunters ended up being the biggest dissapointment to me when it turned out they can’t fly and wings only show up when you glide down.
While what you say would be nice, having a racial similar to the Worgen’s where you can fly as a Kyrian using your wings.
But that doesn’t change the fact that at the end of the day, they are still just Blue Humans. And similar to the Void Elves, they’re just better options IMHO.
You sound pretty narrow-minded, more flexible-thinking man is just a game.
From wiki:
“The venthyr are vampiric punishers of the unworthy, charged with rehabilitating the sinful souls sent to them by the Arbiter”
"The name “venthyr” is similar to the Ventrue, a prominent vampire clan from Vampire: The Masquerade. It’s also similar to a number of Eastern European names for vampires or vampire-like creatures, such as Dhamphir.
- Specific Venthyr that are references to real-world vampire myths or franchises that have been noticed by the editors are…"
My point is, they look more like classical real-life vampires than the characters you are talking about, just better models than these old lazy ones and that’s what I all care about.
“Vampiric, vampire-looking spiritual creatures that are more serious and accurate to real-life vampire mythology” are we happy now?
I don’t mind if they added these races as store exclusive paid skins, I would pay easily 30+ USD to play a vampire.
You barely have to do anything at this point. As I recall you dont even need reps and just a questline. Personally, I would rather they keep focusing on improving current races and add more options.
That was nothing more than a tl’dr post that served to prove absolutely nothing. There are already vampires in WoW, so Blizzard has defined in their lore what a vampire is. Venthyr do not fit that mold. Venthyr are not vampires.
I think we’ve reached the maximum amount of races that this game needs.
Maybe in your imaginary world. Yeah, keep saying that like a broken record so maybe the sensible world will hear you. Even their name scream vampire with a capital “V”.
These “Sanlayn” are just lazy reskins of elves if anything and their names say elf. Maybe Blizzard later will extend, clarify, and ultimately fix their background that they really are just infected with blood or cursed elves.
Like in Blade, there were half-blood vampires and pure vampires that created these half-bloods, so in short, the half-bloods looked pretty ordinary lame like “Sanlayn” and noble pureblood like nosferatu - Venthyr.
And tbh term vampire does not only relate to drinking blood but as well the energy which is the ultimate force of existence, anima in WoW, such a thing as a “psychic vampire” exists. So Venthyr is above mundane Sanlayn in the vampire hierarchy. And perhaps Sanlayn even worships them like gods.
I want ethereals!
I want ethereals!
I WANT ETHEREALS!
BANGS TABLE
None of this lame broker nonsense either.
If we could get ogres there would be dancing in the streets…and the AH…and the inn…and at the flight path…
They would make good rogues, Arch-Thief Rafaam was my favourite in the Hearthstone lore.
Kul’tirans used a brand new skeleton and animations.
Which is why I have hope of actually finally getting Ogres
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think they should add The Brokers and The Ethereals to the game. Doesn’t matter which side, but I figured The Brokers could join the Alliance and The Ethereals would be Horde. Both races are cool but similar enough that neither faction would feel ripped off.
I still don’t understand why the brokers exist.
Can anyone explain to me a single distinction between the ethereals and brokers that isn’t how they look? Anyone?
