I don’t think Tyrande needs to be hit with the ‘stupid’ villan bat to be vengeful. I mean we watched her invoke the vengeful dark face of Elune, that’s not some light invoking she’s done. I remember during that questline Maiev saying how dangerous the ritual is, etc. So it having some adverse effects wouldn’t be out of left field if they choose to go that route.
Also, I’ve seen so many Nelf fans who are disappointed in how the writers seem to have defanged them and want their savage elves back, here is the chance for that. Tyrande doesn’t have to go full blown Sylvannas psycho (or even post Theramore Jain bi polar even) to be vengeful and be on the hunt along with the Worgen who I can see choosing to align with her on this hunt. This would give Alliance players the same type of ‘choice’ we had on the Horde with Saurfang/Sylvannas in a scenario of ‘Yes I want vengence damn it!’ vs ‘Umm yeah no offense Tyrande but I think your over reacting with Anduin/the Alliance itself’ or something similar.
But then again, the writers would have to write it well which…I dunno, I’m torn on how they would do on that one. I think they’ve played the long game well with Sylvannas and its finally come to that moment when we see she really was only in it for herself all these years and has been doing even more shady crap in the shadows than most believed. For Tyrande I think it would be more like Jaina, a sudden, violent trauma that leads her to do things more out of emotion than thought and the Night Warrior only amplifies that emotion leading her to blame any and everyone for their loss.
She doesnt need to go full bad guy. I just dont want her to accept the horde as allies. Why would she after what they have done? And why should I? I just want the choice.
If any of ya’ll have played Fire Emblem three houses, Dimitri really reminds me of Anduin in certain ways. Towards the middle of the game when he changes a bit it really made me think, man, I wish Manduin would do this sometime and stop being such a goody two shoes about everything. The horde doesn’t show them any mercy, so why does the alliance?
Is Tyrande not on your side? She’s had some cool stories. How about Jaina? She got a warbringers story and a flying boat and got to be a raid boss. Siege of the Undercity? Remember that?
There is now an new redemption arc for Blizzard to take; one even more difficult and laborious to follow than the banshee’s.
Anduin, The TRAITOR KING.
When he gave Shalamayne to Saurfang, I had a neighbor knock on my door to see if I was all right.
The veritable symbol of the Alliance, and its will to fight, to strive and preserver, under any circumstances, given to an ORC?
Let the horde hget their big-boy trews on and solve their own problems FOR ONCE! The Alliance has more than enough on its plate! consider…
Over HALF the current Alliance races are displaced, with significant numbers homeless.
Current ‘strategy and tactics’ are limited to reactive defense against specific actions, with no follow-up.
Once again, we have passed up a chance to exploit an enemy weakness so the traitor kinglet can feel good about himself.
We need a REAL leader!
Let Tyrande step from the shadows!
Let Genn stand with her!
Let them both tell that CHILD to stand aside and let some REAL leaders take the field!
Her people just suffered a genocide right after we were supposed to be at a truce because of fighting space Satan. There isn’t a too far. Nobody is getting what they want here because these narrative choices are trash.
Spineless cowards who have more heart for those who seek to harm them than those who are willing to defend them are bad guys. Anduin is a rotten coward of a leader who has no place on that throne.
Lol the Alliance has cemented itself as nothing more than soft treacherous collaborators under Anduin’s scheming. They are going to be the hindrance to much needed avenging.
Doing to the Horde what they gleefully and willingly did to the Night Elves is not too far though. it’s breaking even. After the Horde has its cities burned, its people massacred to near non-existence and its dead defiled, then it’s merely even.
Why would we kill an Alliance sympathizer? As far as I can tell, he’s more or less on our side already and is one of the voices that will be preaching for peace.
