If this is your first season of M+, it’s tough to gauge the game mode as a whole because this is probably the worst M+ season ever(by magnitudes). Previous expansions were much more enjoyable and rewarding.
Monks as a whole are down bad, and Pallies are like the golden child class of WoW. Whenever they have a bad season, Blizzard moves heaven and earth to make them meta again.
They also weren’t even that bad. They were still better than VDH/Brew, just a little squishy. Then they buffed their damage to high heavens and all uncapped AOE and its ridiculous.
Not even slightly, I find it is absolutely unbearable to do M+ as any spec, it’s fighting the timer I despise it.
So I do delves and other things.
I understand the frustration of wanting to play the game at the highest level with a favorite character and not feeling like you’re able. I don’t want to dismiss that, but at some point of M+ level, the tuning required to ensure that a diverse range of very different classes are all equally viable is just unattainable. A meta will always exist.
The best Blizzard can do, in my view, is ensure that every spec is viable up to the maximum level of in-game rewards offered. I believe every spec is viable (not optimal, but viable) up to M+10, and so I’m content with the balance most of the time, barring weird edge cases.
At the point where we’re getting into deep player-vs-player competition for the titles, there is always going to be a meta, and that will never change. We can accept it, or we can move on. But know that if you move on, all other games you could try will also have a meta.
This is probably the Cata 2.0 Dungeons are Hard expansion, but with M+ this time.
The best thing that ever happened to this game was Mythic+. trust me it would’ve been dead long time ago.
A good brewmaster is fantastic, the smoothest damage curve of any tank by far if properly played.
I never understood why people need to go higher than m+10

But, ill bite. Mythic+ right now is a problem with the playerbase. It really is that simple. Mythic+ up to +10 really isnt this destructive force of doom that splits the world wide open with bolts of brimstone destroying cities and obliterating the very creation we live in. It really isnt. They are instances that are actually well designed that take a modicum of common sense to get through. The problem arises when the playerbase limit them to a handful of FOTM classes. Thats all of it basically in a nutshell.
I did enough M+ to hit my goals and gtfo.
Unfortunately I made the decision to swap to maining my monk for this expansion…shortly before they decided to rip out every bit of self sustain Brewmaster had. It feels like I’m constantly bleeding out while tanking mobs in TWW.
I did recently level my warrior, for grins, and holy cow is Prot in a different league than Brew on sustain.
For several seasons I pushed with a group of guild friends. It’s something challenging and enjoyable to do with guildies in Discord. This season we all decided pretty early to stop at +10s for the portals because the dungeons were unenjoyable, unrewarding and grinding them over and over for very low drop trinkets wasn’t the play.
i am asking because blizzard kinda made it clear that m10 was the end game , after that it’s very optional for people and they are not supporting it that much
