I tried it and it's not fun

I tried Arenas on my 264 mage, it is not fun whatsoever. I could be wrong but it just seems to come down to being either stunlocked or demon hunters. I’m not that experienced to arenas but it just seems if you have more stuns or if you have demon hunter you’ll win.

Gotta be 269 at the bare minimum.

If you’re used to being melee and having it on ezmode, switching to caster were you’re sat 99% of the time as mage, it’s gonna be ruff

it is a little brutal when everyone in the 1200 area is sitting with 80k hp and doing 8-10k dps, I’ll catch you in the 300 bracket

It’s not even that, it’s just it seems this style of PvP seems like a worse version of Overwatch in terms of CC. And as for DH, I remember in BFA and Legion they were just powerful to the point where it wasn’t fun. I was hoping they’d nerf them but it just seems they are just the same.

brought my 255 mage into 3s tonight and felt your pain, it wasn’t just DHs though, it was most classes having a significant gearing difference combined with the current burst/oneshot meta which made it pretty rough.

Well another thing that just sucks is just getting someone to like 5% and they just get full health like nothing.

I get this is fun for some but I personally don’t see the fun in WoW’s PvP.

not sure if it’ll get much better buddy, just keep your fingers crossed that the pvp developers are actually working on revamping what pvp has become for dragonflight, our last hope.

If you play regular blink with resolve trinket you shouldn’t be sitting too many stuns

My trinket and blinks can only do so much. The amount of CC that classes have is too much for my liking. And as mentioned earlier, having non healing classes just getting health instantly back makes it less fun. If was either a stun fest or a healing fest, it wouldnt be bad. But since it’s both, I’ll pass.

you are wrong

Can you elaborate? Because you saying I am doesn’t show me the logic behind having non healers just healing through damage like nothing.

it comes down to u playing good or bad and it sounds like u played bad

What’d you play with and what spec were you? Need someone like a Rogue with Fire or Warlock with Frost to help fully exploit your potential. If you’re getting stun locked, just drop Shimmer for regular Blink to get out of stuns. 264 isn’t great either, pretty easy to get dropped.

Then what ilvl is good? I find it laughable if 264 isn’t a good starting point. (I did the math, the max PvP set is 285.75 and I’m roughly 264.31, which is 21.44 ilvls off. So if you’re telling me that 21ish ilvls lower than the max is bad, then I guess you got me.) And isn’t shimmer good since it gives more mobility? I don’t care about advice since I’ll never PvP because of just how illogical it is to me.

That’s enough to get started on.

Mage will be tricky, then, unless you have a friend offering guidance or queuing with something like a warlock and healer in 3v3 as Frost.

Nah, it’s fine/good. Just gotta get some games in to reach 1000, 1200, 1400, then either just chill there or putter around in random bgs for honor to afford upgrades to conq pieces.

This should be…9 item levels? Of upgrades? In as many slots as you have conq gear?

I’ve never done rated arenas, I only did random skrimishes. And literally the only 2 classes I kept getting matched against were DHs and Warriors. Warriors I had minimal issues, DHs (you know how I did). And I remember when I was just doing BFA PvP quests, DHs were unkillable to me. I could down any class except DHs. I wanted to do something new and having the same class just being able to just tear through you while just being able to healing just questions how anyone enjoys this style of PvP. I have this DH but DHs too boring to play.

Shimmer is good, but if you’re getting stunned, Blink is good too because you can blink out of stuns, so they’ll have a harder time locking you down on top of echoing trinket.

Skirms is not a good place to base arena experience off of. Some players do not care and it’s the weekly quest this week which means some people that don’t arena are doing skirms.

Mage is good with certain comps if you’re trying to actually play it. Pairing yourself with random specs that don’t play to your strengths won’t have good results.

Posting on your dh alt doesn’t make your complaint more valid xDDD I have no problem dealing with DH as Balance, probably the easiest Melee for me to deal with if I’m being honest lol.

Think you’re encountering a L2P issue here.

You know I’m talking mage, right? Not balance druid. And I use this as my forum toon because it’s just the one it picked for me. So, I guess you got me. I mean a Balance Mage should beat a DH.
