They previewed them in order. BFD->Gnomer->SM or Scarlet Crusade->Karazhan. The updated timeline for 2024 says the last half of SoD will be to update the final raids essentially.

I like ST more than I do Mara, personally - and i’ll be glad to have that as the raid instead of Mara.

yeah same. I think i woulda like mara more if it was introduced as separate dungeons like sm. i have some vague memory they did this eventually in retail. maybe im wrong.

They did it just to remove Diamond Flask from the game.
It was not going to scale with +healing either way. It was changed in SoM and pretty much every change from that has carried over.
Aesthetically mara is a thousand times better than st. It’s a beautiful instance and fits a raid much better.
If they’re changing the mobs and bosses, it’s easily the best choice imo and they can add fast travel points like the last 2 raids.
The last half is basically a water and earth based MC in design which is awesome tbh.
Mara is popular so that’s why it’s ST.
They are doing unpopular dungeons.
Mara is only more popular because it has better drops. People generally prefer st from my experience. Although I don’t understand why, st is ugly af.

They are aware of datamining and already said they did a lot of general experimenting that might be datamined, but will never actually go live.
It’s possible, but I still think ST is a bad choice.

I love Sunken Temple so much.
I miss labyrinthian dungeons in WoW like ST and BRD, and even Maraudon.
All retail dungeons are, is a glorified hallway that sometimes splits, it’s not really a maze-like “dungeon” like how dungeons were originally.
Gnomeregan was a good choice, because it’s got many corridors and ways to get lost- imo, that’s what a dungeon is supposed to feel like.
BFD was pretty much a hallway, lol. Couldn’t really get lost in there, but the bosses were good and the length was pretty much perfect (45 mins to 1 hour), so it’s a good raid overall.
I’m wondering if they’ll give us something like Karazhan, but in a Classic setting, they totally could. But I bet the new raid they’re teasing us with might be the Scarlet Halls, or something we’ve never seen before.
Barely any of the SoM changes have carried over actually.
