I thought paid addons were against the TOS?

I can read. I also know that addon developers can have money donated to them.

Do you see how this could create a conflict of interest should they say “No you can’t charge” versus “You can ask for donations”?

Blizzard has drawn the line at “You can’t charge someone to download your addon and it still needs to work for the most part without charging.”

There’s only a single word that needs to be read to make it cut and dry:

some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.
