Classic Vanilla, TBC Classic, and WotLK Classic were basically all but gauranteed “get out of jail free” cards in case of a bad retail expansion but somehow the greedy suits at Blizz have managed to muss that up, too. How bad of a company do you have to be to ruin a winning formula that your betters made over a decade before you even looked upon it? All you had to do was not try to “improve” upon it and people would have played.
It’s boggling, 9.1 isn’t going to show its ugly face until August and TBCC is getting kicked in the teeth by Blizz’s constant mishandling and putting the Classic community against itself with questionable balance decisions and monetization efforts (Boosts are going to be paid options before Black Temple at this rate, quote me on this.) This was the perfect opportunity for a smooth and simple launch into TBCC, people take a break from the Shadowlands trainwreck, and then 9.1 drops so they don’t burn themselves (at least the mixed bag players) on TBC content.
I’m in awe at the reverse Mida’s Touch that modern Blizz, that ActiBlizzion, possesses. Most people would have to dedicate their lives to sabotage to be as effective at it as Blizzard, but they manage it all by themselves.
Not entirely surprising in a video game forum but…
OP clearly has absolutely no idea what a “hat trick” is…
Are you under the impression it’s some kind of magic thing? Like when the magician pulls the rabbit out: “VOILA! HAT TRICK!” And how do you figure the monopoly analogy comes in?
No…
A hat trick would be 3 “successes” IE goals etc. So you could maybe argue that Blizzard had a single “guaranteed hat trick” or something I guess.
But “I thought Blizzard had 3 hat tricks left” is nonsense. Unless he means that the Classic trilogy is one hat trick, and there are 2 more trilogies to follow that are also guaranteed successes… but somehow I don’t think that’s what he meant…
