And thats what Im saying - if you are on a sub you can do all the content up to (but not including) the current new expansion (chapter) unless you buy it. If you arent on a sub then unless you buy the chapters you can only do the core game dungeons and whatever is given out in the free DLCs.
Only an idiot would think that Microsoft would willingly throw away a game that makes over $15 million every single month.

I just buy the newest expac but I don’t sub. Because it’s not really needed. It’s a choice, but I don’t ever chose that way.

So MS spends $70 billion only to end WoW. Doesn’t make sense.

As long as WoW is making a profit, it’s future is secure with Microsoft.
Although I don’t pretend to know any details I’m more confident now than I was a week ago that WoW will move forward, I’m just not sure what form that will take.
I think they’re going to make sure WoW returns as the pinnacle of MMOs.
It’s still one of the best IP’s out there. So either they can keep driving the lambo into the wall like Activision has done since they purchased it, or they can fix it up and punch the gas. I think it’ll be the latter.
Why pay billions for a company if you intend to then kill off the biggest money making part of that business?
ESO is weaker than WoW.
Also WoW can only benefit.

If it wasn’t for classic I wouldn’t be subbed. Retail hasn’t been good since legion and WoD before that was garbage too. You can’t have 3 of the last 4 expac Abe complete trash and retain players

IMHO, WoW is just a secondary part of the purchase.
MS is making a move to position their Xbox as the leading console producer in the market. activision-Blizzard has content to support that.
WoW will be a secondary revenue stream, their big money will be console titles.
