I think people would be less upset about the Tmog set if other sets had the same quality

Blizzard put more effort into the stupid Tmog set for the store than they did for all of the raid sets for BFA. If Blizz put that same effort into the sets we can get from the game then it would be less infuriating when they release something on the store.

It’s the same problem that the shop has with mounts. The Sylverian Dreamer is the perfect example. When that mount was released we were stuck getting the same sting ray mount in a rainbow of slightly different colors from Nazjatar. The best mount from that patch was put on the damn store. No other mount in that patch had that level of quality at the time.

Even the Glory of the Eternal Raider mount reward was the SAME EXACT Sting Ray we had been getting all patch long…except it was yellow. OH WOW THANKS BLIZZ.

Blizz on average puts more effort into the Shop items than they do the in game items and that’s the problem.

They’re making cash only deals instead of making stuff grindable in-game like they used to.

People feel excluded which kinda was the point.

However, these things are reward goodies for people throwing 6-month cash wads at em. It makes sense, but…

Yeah. Exclusive sales always feels kinda bummer :frowning:

That’s your personal opinion on it , i think it was insta-made without bothering just to make a promotion , which failed to me , they would have to GIVE me 6 months sub to wear that PoS , yet i found quite a lot of nice tmog in BFA …

BfA has had some of the best looking gear and best looking mounts in the game to date. Whining about a handful of items in the shop is just dumb.

What annoys me is what effort does go into raid sets only goes to the mythic version.

I understand exclusivity, but I don’t know why people wouldn’t want the best armor sets (mythic versions) to have multiple color variations instead of lower-grade options.

Mythic should have a special color variation, but wouldn’t it be better to have MORE colors?

It’s not just color variations.

It’s a straight up downgrade in terms of the models.

No I know - that’s why I said I don’t understand why people prefer having the “low-grade options” for non-mythic raiding instead of just different color variations

Put more effort into the store tmog??..what one are you looking at? Because what I see is a 13 year old girls crayola coloring of a fairy picture she found in her little sisters coloring book.

I think the set is cheap and tacky looking, definitely not something I would spend 70 dollars for and never 20. People are mad because that’s what these modern world people are good at; being mad about something. Or being victimized by something. Better for them if they get to be both. This let’s them do that with mental gymnastics.

If someone likes it and thinks it’s worth it? Cool. People buy gucci for crimeny’s sake. I think that’s tacky too. But my flavor of attractive is black on black with a little bit of black for contrast so my opinion is irrelevant. And so’s yours. And everyone else’s.

Shut up and let people do what makes them happy and feel good. Their happy doesn’t negate yours. There’s not less “happy” to go around, it’s infinite. If something doesn’t make you happy…move on. Close the door, take a turn, and go the other way.

I wouldn’t mind the cash shop if WoW wasn’t a subscription game.

This is the main reason I don’t play ESO. It’s a box price + sub game with a shop, all the best cosmetics and mounts come from the shop as well outside high end PvE rewards.

I really don’t want to see WoW go down ESOs road. Not if it’s going to stay a subscription game.

Given Blizzcon got cancelled this year, I’m betting this transmog was the Blizzcon/Virtual ticket reward and they’ve released it instead of leaving it in a box until next year when it would no longer be relevant.

You can literally scroll through the set tab and see how wrong you are. There are sets in the game for every class that blow this silly costume out of the water.

I think the xmog set in the store is the same quality as sets from BFA and even Legion. Now I am not going to claim that everyone will like them all the same. People have preferences but I feel the quality on the store xmog is the same as say the t6 remake from ToS in Legion.

Two different threads at the same time about the same topic.

man… you really hate that stingray don’t you :joy:

If I got this as the reward for going to Blizz on…oh God would I feel nipped compared to the past blizzcons rewards.

Just that it doesn’t look painted on makes it higher quality than a majority of gear in this game. Pretty garish, though. Curious what the next set will look like.

I’m comparing it to the Yeti pyjamas we got last year.

That might be true but since there is talk of a possible virtual Blizzcon in early 2021 they could of save it for that or made it part of this years Anniversary which is about a month away
