Such as? A new class should do something that no current class can do.
Markamenship hunters are snipers, I would have to agree having a pet while being a sniper is rather silly.
I think they did function without a pet like this before in a few expansions.
But an atlal, combined with a stick that has a knapped stone on it held in place with a string like material made from plant fibers IS technology.
So if you want to engage in semantics…
Oh yeah, I seem to remember no new class in Midnight.
Totally, that’d count as a crafted item. But doesn’t disprove what I said? Uncrafted sticks and stones that are simply picked up can be used as weapons, and aren’t classified as “technology”.
Bow ands no pet. Gun was BM. Never used one myself.
I hate to burst your bubble, but the insignificantly small vocal minority of players against Tinkers as a class represents about this much of the playerbase.
Most people just don’t gaf and just want new content and new things to play, and you can hand them just about anything and they’ll roll with it. And what’s not to like about a tech themed class, guns, explosions, and robots? Hell of a lot cooler than the half-naked scalie class.
It’s actually funny af to think about how most of these Tinker $#!% talkers will disappear when the class is released. Not because they’ll have quit the game or anything like that, but because they’ll be maining the hot new class and posting from their Tinker characters.
I just wanna know what caused everyone to start making 600 Tinker meme threads all of a sudden.
Nah I’ll always post as felsavior. She’s too perfect not to post as her.
Also, this thread is probably the most logical reason for tinkers coming in have seen yet. I’ll keep huffing my hopium that their coming.
The 11.1 announcement pretty much.
Personally I believe a new class is coming because I don’t think blizzard would announce their main hype driver for midnight so early. There’s got to be another thing to drive preorders than just the housing.
People have been asking for the Tinker class for most of WoW’s existence.
When Blizzard releases content that leans into the technological elements of Warcraft, people start talking about Tinkers again.
Last time it was Mechagon, and this time it’s the Undermined patch sparking the conversation.
And it’s not a meme. Tech classes are sick and WoW is overdue one, especially since the concept has existed in the Warcraft universe since Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, before WoW.
And a class featuring Warcraft tech? so much flavor
What are you talking about?
BM got the Gun in Legion, not MM. MM has no specific Gun identity.
I have never ever heard this before in the nearly 30 years i’ve been on this earth but maybe its a regional thing?
Swap the word “gun” with “ranged weapon” if you can’t escape the urge to argue semantics.
All three ranged weapon types are functionally the same in modern WoW.
I feel like if we were gonna get tinkers it would probably be in TLT since they could also include titan technology into their kit.
I hate to burst your bubble but your little “fact” is completely made up
I didn’t claim anything as fact. Could you elaborate on what you’re talking about?
Yes please!!
I love the classic archetype of ranger with animal companion, but Hunter has been trying to cover too many themes for too long. Break it up! Let’s expand on the fantasy rather than shoehorn X/Y theme into Hunter.
How does one have to do with the other? MM Hunters are Hunters. Tinkers are a new class for those of us that are behind this. Not a sub class.
Yeah sure, no problem.
Semantics…?
Removing the “Gun” from Hunter to make room for Tinker is the entire point you’re making what do you mean semantics? Good grief.
Just admit you’re wrong. MM hasn’t been the Gun class for the past 10 years, because 6 years ago all they could use were Bows.
Even if you refined your argument to the past 6 years, you’d still be wrong.
I’m sorry but this is dim. Functionally there’s no difference between guns and bows (and crossbows) in modern WoW. They are all used by the same Class. They all function the same. They can transmog into each other. The only difference is name. You could definitely play Legion with a gun, just transmog the Artifact into a gun and for all intents and purposes it is a gun.
When I say “gun class” I mean “ranged weapon class”. That should be obvious. The fact that you’re nitpicking this minor detail is why this is arguing semantics.
