Because there are multiple posts about this already. They may not be among the top 20 hits today, but every day or every other day there are new posts made about this same topic. Blizzard obviously knows how players feel about it, but they must have a different opinion, because multiboxing is still allowed.
P.S. I personally didn’t mark it spam. But I understand why it was.
Looks like a multiboxer just griefed the op by using multiple accounts to flag this post. I agree they need to be banned or at least put some restrictions out on them.
According to Activision-Blizzard’s 2019 Annual Report, Activision-Blizzard made $1.5~ billion in net income for the fiscal year 2019.
Even if we take a disproportionately high assumption of 100,000 multiboxed accounts across all regions in WoW, that only amounts to $1.5 million a month or $18 million a year or 1.2% of Activision-Blizzard’s earnings for fiscal year 2019.
In other words, you’re factually incorrect, multiboxers, at best, make up an extremely small amount of profit for Actvision-Blizzard.
Ah I was getting bored without a fresh multiboxer thread
How have you been measuring this? May I see your data?
How?
I’ll need examples of how this happens as well
Fun playstyle
Do you like reading? There’s been tons of blue responses over the years on the subject and mmo-champ has them all preserved for us Just search this in google site:blue.mmo-champion.com multiboxing
I never had a problem with them, even prior to becoming one of them
lol
Yikes
Nope that’s against the rules, just like in real life, if you defend something that means you take part in it too
I wish it wasn’t, it gives me a headache lol
Because there’s no downvote so you get flagged, don’t pay any attention to it
But based on the way a lot of businesses operate, each separate segment of the business would be classified as it’s own business unit, responsible for all aspects of that unit, including sales and profits.
I would be curious to see these numbers boiled down to only include WoW, not all of A-B’s business concerns as a while.
Then why haven’t they enacted gameplay-affecting microtransactions? They would be making more money even if they removed the subscription cost because they would just make up for it in a traditional microtransaction in-game shop, even if it caused a drop in the playerbase.
Yes, you did, by arguing that multiboxers were a signification contribution to Activision-Blizzard’s total profits. That’s why you responded to him in the first place.
No I did not, I’m not continuing this with fools who inject words into my mouth.
Your words means nothing. Unless you have actual access to their business records which are normally kept confidential, you really don’t have factual evidence.
…It’s literally their financial report. You do realize that lying on a financial report is a criminal offense, correct? Like, these are audited every quarter.
You literally can’t lie on your financial reports unless you want your company to go under immediately.
