I think it's high time raiding is changed

While I agree with you completely, with one tank, you would be taking away one of like two things tanks have to do in raid. Without tank swaps, what else are they going to do to keep from falling asleep?

Similar to above, if you take away the roster boss, there’s not much challenge left. Even a bum can learn a single target rotation eventually. For goodness sakes, you won’t stun, interrupt, knock, slow, purge, or dispel anything, so what else is there left to do?

While I don’t think needing 2 tanks is unreasonable the issue stands with tanks not being a role many enjoy especially after the nerfs they got coming into TWW. Add onto that all the mechanics and damage that is involved it’s no wonder less people are willing to do the role since more often than not it’s also a leadership type role.

Tanking in raids does not require leadership at all. That only applies to M+.

Yes, increase the amount of loot that drops.

But also, in LFR specifically, weight who gets it towards those who were actively participating in the kills.

Sounds like an auto-invite spam guild that only attracts scumbags who aren’t interested in group success.

Participation always drops as we get near the end of a season.

I assume there’s a giant glass case in Ion’s office marked “break in case of emergency” with a button that files a ticket to enable 10 man mythic raids.

10 man raiding was the most popular form of raiding that ever existed. It will be, again, when they finally get out of their own way and give people what they want.

And your suggested pre-requisite? You seem to have forgotten to suggest one.

We talk about raiding quite often.

It’s just that there’s a lot more agreement about the fixes that raiding needs. But Blizzard still won’t do any of it.

The reason LFR is the size it is, is because it’s an uncoordinated group of mostly strangers. Large groups are more tolerant of mistakes, and the mistakes of individuals are less obvious, and less consequential. Make the group smaller and the consequences of mistakes will be amplified.

Not sure what you’re on about, last night a friend and I ran the queen on two different 580ish alts. Both runs were one shots on both bosses. I don’t think anyone died, smooth as butter.

The problem with the raid tank count is that the numbers aren’t proportional to raid size. You need 2 tanks whether you raid with 10 or 30, which means tanks range between 20% and 6.7% of the group. Yet dungeon content calls for exactly 20% of the players be tanks. This is part of the reason tanks are in such high demand in dungeons and queues are so long for normal/heroic/TW for DPS. Some players who would tank dungeons choose not to go that path because there won’t be a tank spot for them in raid.

Okay stretch armstrong.

there already is.
It’s called gear score. And it’s lfr bruh, even I, a complete solo player who does nothing but level alts knows it isn’t that hard. You can easily screw around and still have it done with little to no issues. This sounds like you’re trying to make LFR out to be Mythic difficulty.

Problem with raiding is it gets all the nice zones, we need an 80 man version of legacy raids if we’re gonna put all the nice stuff to explore in the raid environments.

Your solution to raiding is to make raids 5 man dungeons??

Have you tried running mythic or recruiting?

You need something for people to stick around.

Normal / heroic are on farm, so people kinda get bored.

I miss raiding in Wrath. For me, the entire process felt more complete, and gearing seemed more straight forward, even if it was more difficult to achieve. Blizzard keeps adding layers of complexity for the sake of adding it, and gearing just feels more frustrating now than it did then, even when nothing dropped.

Raiding has needed changes for a while now at least for how so many players approach them using the LFG and pugging.

Clearing a whole raid and getting nothing is inexcusable imo. I would love to just get rid of RNG loot and do tokens from each boss but if we can’t get that I’d like to have it similar to delves where you can use a currency like a key to guarantee a drop from a boss of your choice.

I just want flexible mythic raiding numbers. The roster boss is brutal sometimes, especially towards the end of a season or expac. Or sometimes you just get unlucky and a bunch of people have unexpected emergencies/sicknesses/etc, and suddenly you can’t raid that night.
