I think I saw saw a hack or an exploit

I understand that war mode is on me. Yes, PVP happens, and this was a pvp scenario, but it’s the context of the PVP incident that raises some alarm.

I saw 1 mage in front of what appeared to be a warlock, both around my level. In an instant, I died to 2 shots. Cone of Cold, followed by one of the brightest chaos bolts i’ve ever seen.

Instinctively, I released immediately. I figured it strange that I got killed with two spells, but shrugged it off and went on about my business. The same thing happened, but I took the time to remain in my corpse to analyze the incident further.

It wasn’t a Mage and a warlock, it was a mage and a warlock that was somehow able to cast mirror image I think. The reason I only saw one warlock was because this warlock and his (i Seriously don’t know what to call it) mirror images were stacked on top of him, following the mage, and casting spells in unison.

I figured it to be a class spell exploit or a hack because these two other warlocks looked exactly like the one that was following the mage, gear and all.

I had about 5 seconds to take in what had just happened before they all started T-bagging me in unison, the likes I’ve never seen in a multiplayer game before. To save myself the frustration, I released my spirit and went to another hub. In retrospect, it would have been smarter to disable war mode and inspect this individual myself, but I was so dumbfounded I couldn’t think straight.

I’ve never seen anything like this. For the people that know what this is, I’d like to know what’s going on. For the people that don’t, i’d like to let them know to be careful.

Mechagnomes have a mirror image racial.

this should be interesting

They were void elves I think, with a night elf being the leader.

Sounds like you ran into a Multi boxer.

Then you probably met a multiboxer. It’s not against ToS unless they were botting.

its another multi box thread. mirror images cant t-bag. 1 chaos bolt was 5, hence the one shot.

What does your combat log say?

What’s a multiboxer?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t even think to check that. I’m not much of a PVPer, so I don’t usually have a reason to check it! I logged out about 10 minutes ago. Am i able to get the info back?

One person who controls multiple characters on multiple accounts at one time. They will be grouped together and move in unison. They will also one shot you in war mode due to it being 1 vs. X amount of characters. Most people do 5 at a time that I’ve seen but some people run many more.

Yeah bud you ran into someone who doesn’t mind paying $75 a month to have an advantage in a video game. Take solace in the fact that you aren’t that lame.

How is that even possible to control multiple characters at the same time without the use of some sort of program? And how is this allowed?

Dunno about that. I’m a boxxer and am living rent free in WoW :stuck_out_tongue: thank god for wow tokens.

I feel like there’s a sea lion on the loose.

I have no idea how to do it personally, but it is allowed -

Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our Terms of Use. We do not support multiboxing tools.

They do use a program. And Blizz doesn’t care cause it can’t affect mythic or M+ while they make more money.

The program BTW turns one button press into 5, so it’s one cone and 4 chaos bolts with a single click.

Yea this is a sealion you’ve played this game for a looong time from looking at your achievements. At least anti-mboxxers tried to do something new I guess.

Dang, you beat me to it ):

Sounds like a multibotter introduced you to Big Bolts.

Nope. Sorry m’boy, but you’re not able to look it up after relogging.

Thanks for the info. i guess I’ll just play it safe and keep my WM off for a while.
