I think I like you

I don’t see a point or a question…

I use a MacBook Pro on the arm of my lazy boy recliner, no mouse, just use the touch pad and click my abilities.

Well, let’s see. For starters, no desk although I do have a board I can place on my chair if I need a flat surface. I have a monitor on a pole mount system next to my Lay-Z-Boy. The wireless mouse works from the left chair arm being as I am left handed and the wireless keyboard finds a place somewhere between the two dogs that like to share my lap. For music I have wireless headphones and the Clementine music player. Pushing the monitor aside gives me a view of the flat screen tv. There’s never much on but we did watch The Hogfather with my son on Christmas day using the x-box one as the player. A glance to the right and I can see out the big window. When it snows, it’s like I’m snugly situated inside a snow globe. There’s not much better, for me anyway, than getting in this chair in the morning with a fresh, homemade biscuit and my first cup of coffee. Hi!

Can’t share a pic because I have a lot of documents with personal info all over the place, but imagine a desk stacked with random papers. That’s my desk

Any hints on what your book is about? Good luck with getting published ! If it does, let us know, I would certainly buy a copy.

Was that reply to me?

All these desks with pretty views and coffee cups with something warm nearby… Sounds like a dream.

Meanwhile, I’m sitting on a bed with a laptop and a 2 year old kicking me in the ribs while she tries to sleep ;D

The bed is still made though, with a dark peach and white comforter that an aunt-in-law gave me for my Birthday. Bedside table holds a dim lamp, a charging cellphone, and a pair of bluetooth headphones (can’t wake the sleeping baby if she ever gets there, and fewer cords are best).

Thank you Japor, a nice thought to go to sleep on. :butterfly:

This thread is making me have such fantastic feels. It is a great descriptive writing prompt and really brings folks together. I can just imagine myself seeing these spaces and people.

giant hugs for all who want them. Also Coffee or Tea and pie! :coffee: :pie:

I live in a small white cape cod style home with the little dormer windows on the upstairs. It was built in 1947 post WW2 and was constructed with cinder block and stucco for most of it. Very sturdy. Hardwood floors, nice wood work, 3 bedrooms, cute kitchen, huge black walnut tree in the back yard. The back has a small screen porch off the kitchen that opens to a 16 x 16 deck. 8’ of it is covered by a tin roof. I spend all the time I can there in good weather, and not great weather. A hot cup of tea listening to the rain patter on the tin roof is very relaxing.

I spend most of my time in the living room using my laptop on a snack tray. The olive green couch is covered with tan quilts that I can easily wash because cats. I have an ottoman with a tray on it that holds most of the coffee table type stuff neatly organized. Water bottle, holder for pens/pencils, authenticator, phone.

The room is quaint with historic bird prints on the walls and a hand made book case at the end which is a focal point much like a fireplace with mantel. Right now it has a small xmas tree on it with white lights, metallic ornaments, snowflakes, and animals. Makes me happy in winter.

As usual, I am in flannel jammies curled up with a feather blanket topped with a fluffy long haired grey cat on my lap. Glass of red wine.

This fluff beast is Willow, one of the three I have.

And despite what I tell her, she does not get out of the fire.

And this is my favorite mug. It was a hand made one I bought long ago.

No… sorry.

I jsut moved, and we threw the gaming chair away. Gotta use a kitchen chair until we get a new one.

My curtains are always closed upstairs where we spent all our time. Wife watches tv me and my son either play together or he plays some games I play WoW. I go downstairs just to make myself espresso or grab something from fridge

Regards table it’s clean and I don’t like anything being there for longer period of time. Organized cables, some led lights for “comfort”. My table is in corner, TV in the middle and my first aid kit (actually a personal bar that I keep filled up with various liquor, but I call it first aid kit) , and some flower trees on both sides of TV stand. Simple but nice
