I think engaging in GDKP is cheating and against the ToS

This is just an opinion and point of view I’m stating. If you don’t think it is that’s fine. We’re just going to agree to disagree because I’m not going to listen to your flawed reasoning, which I’m sure you feel the same about mine.

is this a post about GDKPs or about us not agreeing ? I am confused now. your title does not represent the body of your post. maybe learn better composition first

That’s totally fine if you feel like that, but let’s keep facts straight. It’s not against TOS, if it was, Blizzard wouldn’t have addressed the subject of GDKP’s without saying it’s against TOS.

Am I wrong or there is no ToS anymore, just the EULA?

The EULA is not that long, I looked at it recently, I would find what specifically players are violating. With bots running rampant, I can’t imagine they’re enforcing the EULA anymore. But maybe they actually are, due to hidden variables, and they would pick up your complaint if it was focused enough and people agree.

Trust me, it’s not. I’m a J.D. with specialization in digital bird law.

You’ve made the fatal error of not asking whose ToS it’s breaking.

Or there is corruption in place and they are directly benefitting from GDKP culture, even if it has a negative effect on others. I don’t know, I don’t know…

Because their credibility and integrity is perfectly intact…

If a GDKP is mismanaged, its lifespan becomes uniquely short. Corruption is not possible when highest (viewable to all) bid, wins.

Not what I said, or meant, but ok.

Agree haha

GDKPs are used to launder dirty gold bought with RMT.

Since you seem to be an expert, explain how gdkps launder gold?

Whether you spend the gold or not your account can still be susceptible to a ban for buying or botting gold. Doesn’t seem like a risk many would take.

More likely, if someone is buying gold it’s being washed some other way before getting brought to a gdkp.

I’m not an expert, and I can explain at least one method of doing so, but since you’re just here with a condescending attitude, I won’t.

I’m sure if you use some critical thinking, you might see a way that it would be possible.

Or simply google it and see they how they are doing it.

No, I won’t be describing how to do this on the forums.

It’s a DKP system that can’t be easily corrupted

How can DKP be corrupt? You either have the points or you don’t.

You won’t not because of some moral highground. It’s because you can’t.

I did my first ever gdkp this week, just a 10 man uld hm run.

Went reasonable

Got Hodir staff and IC neck for around 9k after cut

Considering there’s legit nothing else to spend $$ on I didn’t mind it, quick and easy ilvl boost, approaching on 5k gs now

If I didn’t buy anything I’d have walked away with around 7k for a few hours fun, it’s a win/win

And technically, this is just my observation mind you, you cheated. You paid to have others run the raid for you for the gear. you PTWed in a sense.

You didn’t run the raid normally as a team where you all pitched in to the best of your ability.

Is it really cheating or not? Hard to say right? But from where I’m standing, that is how it looks like. That’s all I said in the other topic and suddenly I came under attack from everyone defending GDKP.

Makes me wonder, why take such a defensive stance if you’re so secure in your righteousness.
