Sticking with Sylvanas is opting for no civil war

But instead of a Civil War, you're getting a World War.

You might say it's a... World of Warcraft.

I hesitate to ruin such a line with a follow-up, but I feel I should clarify that I don't mind faction war plots when they're good. I like fighting against blue team. I just want to do so with some conviction and purpose to it. They managed to burn down Darnassus and a) not let me pull the trigger and b) wanted the Horde to feel like !@#$ for it.

Do you know how long I've wanted to torch that stump? Or fight in a Siege of Lordaeron? And then, as the monkey paw demands, I got what I wanted... but did not want what I got.

DAMN YOU, BLIZZARD. DAMN YOOOUUUUUU!
Son get rid of those golden eyes. Ye don't deserve them.
Sylvanas proves time and again that she doesn't care about her servants (and that is what you are.) beyond what they can achieve for her. The orcs loyalty is repaid in full with necromantic botani experimentation next patch as it was with mass murdered betrayal, mass damnation, and mass enslavement.

Boy I sure do love my warchief.

I wanted to say thank you Loukas for expressing your loyalty to our warchief. It is nice to know that there are others who still support her and are not jumping on the saurfang bandwagon.
Dude, there are literally hundreds of threads on this but instead you decide to necro a thread from August, why, exactly?

It is the first one that came up on google

Why would you google?

Let's not forget, people, that the Alliance started this war. Why were we able to rush through Darkshore so easily? Because the Night Elves had sent their entire fleet to Silithus. And why did they send their entire fleet to Silithus? Because the Horde was mining a valuable resource, azerite.

That's wrong actually. The Night Elves sent their fleet to Silithus because the horde gathered an entire army and started marching directly in that direction, letting slip that they were marching to war. They did this with the express intention of tricking the Alliance so that they could catch them off guard with most of the soldiers gone. This is all confirmed from the lips of Sylvanas herself in A Good War.

Also it was confirmed in the book Before the Storm that the Goblins(horde aligned Goblins) already attacked and killed others in Silithus so they could mine the Azerite. Thus the Horde drew first blood. Again, confirmed in before the Storm.

This right here invalidates your entire argument. Your entire argument was based on the Alliance starting the war in the first place when A Good War and Before the Storm shows us directly the opposite. In fact Sylvanas and The Horde made it look like they were about to start a war in one place, tricking the Alliance, and instead started the war in another place. Starting the war.

I googled "i still support sylvanas" because I keep seeing stuff about Saurfang being the "true" warchief and Garrosh 2.0. I just wanted to know if other people are still rooting sylvanas.

Yer, faction war plots have never really been good, because the fact that there can never be a true winner, especially not when stakes are raised to total war scale. By rights, this war should see the end of BOTH the Alliance and the Horde, as we say in WWI and WWII, even the victors suffer*

*Yes the U.S. is unique in these scenarios but there are extenuating factors that do not apply to WoW.

So alliance spy on goblins in silithis, their spies get killed, they send more spies to org and collect intel on the horde forces marching out to stake a claim in silithis. Then they load boats full of soldiers to sail south to engage the horde forces in... what? Self defense?
How dare you take these resources? We'll stop you! But this isn't a war, we are just peacekeeping these resources!

The goblins killed the archaeologists there first, then spies were sent to watch them. Sylvanas used this to hide her attack. You don't muster your entire army and march just to stake claim on resources in Silithus. I'll also remind you the Night Elves already had a town in Silithus, for thousands of years it's been there. So the Horde was staking claim on land already owned by another sovereign nation. That is an act of war. She started the war. Accept it.
