Because most of the WOW classic community gets boosted by mages anyway. They paid all that gold to have multiple characters to get an edge. This takes the edge away. So, you made the boosters wealthy and ruined things only to get ruined in the end. Im 100% for Boosting.
Those players paid for that with gold that they earned in game. They played the game to pay another player in game for a service in which they exchanged in game goods. They all put in effort in one way or another and contributed to the games health by participating in in-game events and activities and partook in the community aspects by grouping and doing content, whether or not they were just afk.
Comparing “swipe credit card for magic level 58” and “paid a mage to power level” are completely incomparable. They’re not the same in any possible facet.
Nice strawman though. They should have hotfixed mage boosting 17 months ago when it became apparently problematic for the game.
That also relies on having a mage available to boost you, it’s not an automated boost. And the price can fluctuate with the realm.
the culture of boosting was created by the player, face the consequences of the action.
Yeah, there’s no way the swipe of a credit card paid for that mage boost.
The culture of boosting was created by a small number of players, which propagated due too Blizzard inaction and neglect of the game.
Had they simply hotfixed it when they should have, none of this would be an issue right now.
I don’t know what you’re trying to say here.
Okay.
It’s not obvious that she is implying that people buy gold and pay mages with the gold to get boosted to 60?
Seemed obvious to me. Though this isn’t one of the justifications I would use for boosts
This is why they should just remove dungeon boosting, then not have a paid boost.
Then nobody gets to boost.
You mean bought, lol I know many players after launch that purchased gold to get boosted.
I’ll lay it out plain then. Considering how much gold buying is happening there’s a pretty good chance some of those mage boosts came from gold that was gained with a credit card.
So ban them? I don’t see why or how that’s relevant.
Should we tell him?
Queue the Frozen meme.
It means that all the gold on your server has all been “earned” by hard work of some kind!
So gold-sellers aren’t making money? If that’s the case, bots must not be a problem.
