I stole Warglaives from my guild GDKP and xfer'd servers, can I get banned?

My guild runs a MH/BT GDKP ever Thurs night and we’re on a fairly high pop realm so we get a lot of buyers usually for this specific run, especially since we’re been doing it for so long that people recognize us somewhat.

I’m part of LC in this guild and I come to find out that in our BT run for the night, one of the main officers in the guild actually sold Warglaives to a buyer in the group for $3.5k USD.

He apparently did this whole transaction without any of us knowing, he put in his own gold for the buyer to make it seem like he’s participating in bidding and honestly I felt kinda betrayed because we all agreed to only keep it gold.

I confront that officer and ask him for a cut of that money because i’m running it too, he ends up telling me some BS about how he needs it for his medical bills or whatever and this made me even more frustrated because I KNOW for a fact he’s lying through his teeth and that he just wants to pocket the cash.

We end up on Illidan and before the fight, as LC member I get ML in order to distribute and we had one of the two warglaives drop, the exact main hand I needed and the same main hand the guy who paid 3.5k USD needed.

I didn’t like the thought of that level of RMT, so I moved the Warglaives to my inventory, dropped out of Discord/raid, and instantly bought a server xfer off my realm that same night after gquitting.

I still kept my 2nd account in their Discord and they were all talking about how they know my IRL name/info, how they’re going to report me to Blizzard for scamming them/etc.

Is there any possible way this could blow back on me and I can get banned for this?

Same /10 char

And if not, well dont worry about it and move on. Nothing will happen.

Assuming this is even real (which likely it isn’t)

No, unlikely, there’s already so many shady dealings going on in the story.

Even with well laid out loot rules the worst that would happen is they take item and delete it.

God that would suck if they removed my Glaive after all of this

Doubt they would in this case honestly, you could technically report the other guy for RMT though if you have like… discord logs.

Grats on the Glaives!

I also pray for sinners…

That’s a good idea, I should go see if I can find the receipts from that night.

Lord I hate modern gaming.

I’d like to pretend this has to be fake but there are so many whales in this game who complain about ONLY being able to buy $400 in tokens a month so I don’t doubt some whale would pay that much for an item that’s about to be as worthless as the glaives are on retail for anything but transmog in a few months.

I mean you’re lying lol… they are about $500 each in gold.

Nobody is buying month 5 glaives for $3500

BB sells Glaives for $5k USD and it sells so much they’ve been doing it since BT launch.

Please educate yourself on RMT prices before speaking on RMT prices.

LOL you can buy glaives for 50k gold…that’s $500

Don’t you tell me about rmt lying POS

That’s not even the going rate for 1k gold lmao, no one is selling Glaives for 50k gold when Thori sold for 350k and Glaives sells for 5k USD on big boosting sites.

Nobody? There are a billion gdkps on faerlina and Benediction to get a single glaive for 50k.

And you’re right it’s actually cheaper than that… it’s 7.25 per 1k right now.

Carry on with yourself, your lack of knowledge and arrogance on this subject is a waste of my time.

People spend 5 figures on yearly release games like Fifa only to have all their progress wiped with the new yearly release and they do it all over again. That’s not mentioning how many thousands of dollars the whales blow on F2P mobile games.

Never underestimate how wasteful some people are with money on games.

LOLOLOLOL you’re just a liar trying to get comments.

Look up gold values for yourself dink boy.

This seems like a troll thread but I’ll respond like it’s real.

Sometimes, not normally but on occasion, this stuff gets actioned by Blizzard with the item getting taken away. There’s a suspension (not generally a ban) as well. What happens depends on exactly what was said using the in-game chat as well as reports.

You should have given the drop to the buyer and then reported this other person for selling gold. You claim to be “above RMT” but if you had gotten a cut you would have been fine with it. You pretty much said exactly that. That’s not sticking to ethics, that’s you thinking about yourself.

Hopefully, this item was worth you losing every one of your guild friends over (not just the RMT person). It wouldn’t be to me, but I’m not excessively selfish and loot-driven.

How you seriously gonna sit here and tell me the “going rate of gold” when im staring at the website and its prices.

Youre just a liar bro.

Even if they did, that means the guy that tried to RMT is now out of 3.5k irl currency lol

Blizzard will never accept third party communication for bans.

Must be in game 100%. they clearly state it over and over again.

If you dont have anything in game then no ban can happen.
