I have not had that problem.
Flying really improves your quality of life. All I can advise is focus on the goal and barrel through.

Welcome to the club. I don’t have Legion flying either.
As a returned player I agree with this…
Pathfinder is like asking a returned player to run on land. Who would at this point in the game choose to unlock that only to have to do a new pathfinder in Shadowlands? I had to run all of my leveling in WoD and Legion content too to level up and those are not unlocked either…
Thankfully Visions are on MoP and Uldum and for everything else I guess there is flightmasters…
Don’t give up! You’re actually really close to getting flying!
Take a look:
https://www.wowhead.com/flying#us-hyjal-nerfessra
For the Draenor reps, you can visit your realm’s AH and buy up “Medallion of the Legion”, currently costing 3361.67g, https://theunderminejournal.com/#us/hyjal/item/128315
each giving 1000 rep with each Draenor faction!
After that, it’s just Rustbolt and Unshackled dailies in their respective zones! Be sure to buy a contract for that easy 10rep from completing a WQ! Take advantage of the +rep bonus from the carousel from the Darkmoon Faire and from the WQ bonus week!
It will be worse in shadowlands if PF remains unchanged for WoD, legion and BFA. Most players will choose to level through the zones with flying that doesn’t require PF (BC, WotLK, Cata, MoP).
I disagree.
I’m out in the world more. I’m not spending all my time running between flight points. I’m leveling my alts that have sat around collecting dust for years. I’m doing WQs even after exalted, because of resources/gold/gear upgrades/extra rep.
Unlocking flying is used more than to get from point A to point B faster.
It’s like going to school and you have to listen to the teachers, do your homeworks, give your exams (all Boring right ?)
At the end of the day, you pass your exams and got promoted . Such a relief and an accomplishment right?
But this is a game… it shouldn’t be boring. It should be fun. PF isn’t fun in the slightest…
Just giving an example. It’s a game and it’s suppose to be fun …yes
I’ve finished all the pathfinders - draenor, legion and bfa. I also hated the grind. But like I said, “just an Example”.
This is just what the game makers gave us. Sorry
I’m in the same boat. It’s a mix of a lot of things for me, bot having a lot of time to play, not being able to focus on one character, and probably the biggest, I dont waste time on stuff I don’t enjoy.
With limited time and money, I can’t justify spending a lot of time farming rep for stuff i don’t like. I can’t stand the turtle rep stuff, trashland is extremely boring to me, and Nazjatar is a living hell to navigate without flying. Those happen to be the only reps I’m behind on, and to me, flying isnt worth the trouble of playing through those. Sure, there are times I wish I could just fly around, but between the flight master whistle and mount equipment, it’s not that big of a hindrance to me.
However, with only being a few reps behind now, and a renewed spark in playing the game, I plan on atleast doing the emissary stuff for those reps everytime they show up, so I should be getting PF somewhat soonish. I’m in no rush though.
Sounds like you’re looking at the characters you attempt to work on as end game characters. Don’t do that. Look at whatever character you have that is the easiest to play through content to get things done the quickest to get you the achievements and flight. Don’t even work on gear at this point…just that rep. THEN after you get that, THEN think about your end game character and go from there.
I hope that helps a little and I definitely wish you all the luck in the world!!
OH!! Also don’t forget about the rep contracts you can get from scribes/the AH. They may not seem like much but they do help, even when you say are doing Tortollan, but no WQ’s for them will be up, any WQ you do will still contribute to that rep, when you have that contract active.
Again, good luck!!
Oh that’s nice.
Like I said, once I unlocked it, It was a breath of fresh air. But after I unlocked it, I didn’t really NEED it like I NEEDED it before it was unlocked.
I quit shortly after unlocking it.
Once the 8.3 stuff dies down I’m going to focus on getting PF for legion, and when the leveling revamp hits I’m going to use legion as the leveling expansion for two reason, class order halls and class mounts.
You’re actually not in the same boat, as OP has done a LOT more content than you have, and you’re SO much further behind than they are:
https://www.wowhead.com/flying#us-baelgun-thulir
Same advice as what i provided them would go a long way to helping you catch up, but if you play through the current expansion’s content, you’d find yourself revered with the current factions in no time at all!
And the gold just flows in from questing at 120, which is nice silver lining!
The level squish will likely happen with the pre-launch of SL.
And getting all the class mounts has been a personal ingame goal of mine too, so it’s good to see others pursue that!
Except it isn’t a flex, especially since they literally ask if anyone else is having this issue.
Unless you were just too lazy to actually read the entire post, to which your comment is just purposely ignorant to try and seem “cool”.
If you’re hopping around as much as you are it sounds like pf isn’t what is killing your motivation. I have 8 120s all of which I still don’t know what to main and I still have flying. It’s a drag for sure but it sounds like you have bigger issues.
Go play wc3 remastered, that’s surely better right?
This is just my forum character, I main on Alliance and use this guy to see the Horde side of the story (and unlock the Zandalari because I had foolishly hoped factions would be seeing a rework with 9.0)
unsub 4-6 months and come back for 1 month has been my bfa experience
Ah, i see… well, use `wowhead.com/flying’ to see your progress… it’s a nifty tool, and many people posting here on 120s play on those toons.
Flying really does make the game much more enjoyable. Having to slog through mountains, hordes of mobs wanting to dismount you, Pathfinder needs to be shortened exponentially.
In Shadowlands, Pathfinder should be able to be attained and finished by patch 9.1, not patch 9.2.
